Excellent Customer Service from Peter on both occasions I visited the store. Friendly, pleasant and very helpful. When I had to return a damaged part, the Duty Manager immediately replaced it with a smile on his face.

Went there to pick up a click and collect, no issues. The chap also helped us to order something for home delivery as well. Extremely helpful and friendly assistants. A very pleasant experience.

Sold me a VonHaus shelving unit through the website. It was missing parts. Called the foreign call centre and they told me B&Q weren't responsible as it was fulfilled and delivered by a 3rd party. Said I'd have to contact them. Sorry, that's not good enough.

Told them to come collect it as it's not fit for purpose and got the runaround. Told them I'd return it to the store in that case and they told me the store won't accept it as it's too heavy.

Absolute garbage service. Buyer beware. You're not necessarily buying from B&Q if you order from their website and they'll try and take no responsibility. Never again!

Lovely friendly staff, and yet, they could not find me any crocodile clips! Surely crocodile clips could squeeze into a store of this size? Get them in stock, snappy like!

The big orange shed is a well known “go to” for DIY homeowners. For me there are other factors the make it a regular stop. First always clearly marked disabled parking, easy access to the extra wide aisles. If like me you perhaps know what you want but also like to browse, then this is the perfect combination.
I would perhaps gone for an extra star for the fact that they have a couple of wheelchairs to be used by customers who can walk in with difficulty. However I would have to take it away again as they are not in very good condition.
There is also a Click and Collect service for those on the go. Shop on line for what you need and collect it as you pass the store.

Hi, I bought a rooted Xmas tree from the B&Q in Stevenston, the shop assistant called Peter at the checkout was so helpful, he had lived in Sweden for a period of time and he told me to Google making tea from the pine needles, he explained how the military live off the needles and berries. Wow it is excellent I really appreciate him sharing his knowledge with me, he was very interesting and made me feel so happy. I will add the store was quite so he didn't hold any other shoppers up whilst sharing his knowledge. Thank you Peter. Happy Xmas.
