I went to Argos Braintree today with my mother, to return an iron and get a replacement, we was served by a Pete (Peter). He said you need the e-receipt or I can’t do anything. He wasn’t very polite. Me and my mother left as we couldn’t get signal inside, and then found the e-receipt. When we went back in store, mum wanted another iron and asked Pete if he could help with searching for another iron wattage similar, but Pete wasn’t at all interested in showing good customer service instead his pointed over to tablets and said you can search for it on them over there. Me and mum walked over to the tablet/devices, mum not knowing how they work, was left feeling very uncomfortable. I then asked this Pete if he wouldn’t mind helping me use the device, to which he replied just put in search IRON! Mum felt very intimidated and said I’m dyslexic and I find it hard… his manor was inappropriate, arrogant and appalling customer service!

Ordered a Corsair Black & Grey TC100 Fabric chair from Argos, but they sent the Black model instead. I returned it to the store and reordered, only for the wrong color to be dispatched again. Tried home delivery, and yet again, they sent the Black version. After calling their contact center, I found them neither interested nor sympathetic about the repeated mistakes, despite me having to return the item four times.

I even reserved both the Black and Black & Grey models in hopes they’d finally send the correct one. Unsurprisingly, I received Black yet again, with no apology or effort to make amends. For a company as large as Argos, you’d expect them to get orders right or at least own up to their mistakes and compensate customers for the inconvenience. However, Argos seems oblivious to such basic practices, i had to drive to store 6 times to eventually get my refund, shocking.

Ultimately, I bought the chair from Amazon, and they delivered the correct color on the first attempt. Excellent service from Amazon and a great chair—Argos could learn a thing or two!

Sat. 30th. Sept.
Approached the man standing at the counter to ask if I could ask a question...
Was very rudely told he was busy with another customer.......who was some way away......"ah sorry" I said, then heard the man (Name badge Peter apparantly the manager) turn to the customer and say "I'm very sorry about that" making me feel belittled and absolutely devastated, the disgust in his voice was cruel and unnecessary.......my friend likewise was appalled........the other staff were very well mannered, helpful and cheerful, despite the pathetic leadership.
Needless to say, shall complain to head office.

My son had an issue with his Xbox so I went in today to get it sorted. I was served by 2 young men, one the manager. They explained I had to contact Microsoft to start the process. Long story short - Microsoft support was dreadful. Argos customer support was superb. Issue sorted. Thank you.

I always buy kit from Argos regularly, this is the Argos I always go to because it's local for me. I love how well kept the place is very clean inside and helpful staff. They have a counter dedicated to jewelry so if your looking for a gift or something else they are there to help. I find the quality of the goods there excellent quality. They have a parking area around the back for Argos customers only. Great place to shop

Amazing staff, they are very helpful and they are smiling .... I had problems with my smart watch and the customer service was excellent, they helped me to cancel my insurance too...i am very happy....I am from abroad, my english is not perfect but they tryed to understand me... Moody, unfriendly manager. Refused to refund a product I'd bought just 36hrs earlier that I hadn't used. Went outside and called customer services from the car park who refunded me over the phone, arranged to collect the item from my door and gave me a £20 goodwill gift voucher for the poor service I'd received. I'll avoid this store in future.
