We had a limited budget and a brief to explore ways to solve a few problems with our property and if possible to add a bit of value. We went with Cannon Clarke because they impressed on us the importance of getting a fixed price contract with a builder which gave us a lot of certainty about retaining control over costs and potentially time, although COVID and supply chain issues put paid to the latter.

We went through various iterations of plans and had various costings/quotes done and eventually settled on a plan which solved most of the main issues we had with the property but importantly, left scope to do other improvements later, if we need them and can afford them! Andrew was very patient with us throughout and even though the project was small and the budget was tight, he never made us feel that our business wasn't important to them and has been available and responsive throughout the process. I can't post pictures for personal reasons, but we are enjoying living with the changes made which create an extension housing a broken plan kitchen, dining, living room with connection to the garden.

I would highly recommend Andrew to anyone looking for architectural services. He came highly recommended to me by a Friend and now having done a number of projects with him it’s clearly evident as to why. The service provided is excellent and they are very helpful during the whole process. Any issues that arose with contractors or Building Control were dealt with very promptly and reassuringly. After finding it difficult with some companies I was recommended Cannon Clarke by a friend. Andrew was very professional from start to finish. He listened to what my wife & I were looking for, including some final details like having a roof with usable space and as our current roof is low profile he explained why he had designed the extension in a certain way. If I require an architect again or a friend needs a recommendation, Cannon Clarke will be my only option.
