This is a small ground level carpark with some spaces that are awkward to get into. The front half of the carpark is unavailable on Saturdays as there is a market on in that space.
Only one space for disabled drivers.
There are no car charging points.

Cattle Market Car Park leaves much to be desired. The overall layout feels like an afterthought, as if someone simply took a patch of uneven land and decided to call it a car park without much planning. The driving experience is far from pleasant; the access roads are awkward and riddled with bumps, making navigation difficult and uncomfortable. The parking bays themselves are notably narrow, which adds unnecessary stress when maneuvering or opening doors, especially in busier periods.

On a more positive note, booking a space was relatively easy through the MiPermit app, and the pricing is fair, Β£7.50 for 6 hours felt reasonable for the location. However, the subpar condition of the surface and overall design detracts heavily from what could otherwise be a convenient option. With a bit of investment in resurfacing and reconfiguring the layout, this car park could be greatly improved. Until then, it remains a functional but frustrating.

Convenient for the location I was going to.. but before I could even present my ticket for parking I was given a parking ticket by the warden!
I assure you I had left my car for 5 minutes to check the price of the parking, by the time I had returned to collect my payment method, I.
Had been issued a ticket... Watch out when it comes to the wardens here as they will not even take a second thought before sticking you with a fine while your over by the meter.

Imagine parking on a recently bombed out hill whose entrance is constantly being blocked by trucks, and you've a good idea of the situation.

I am not in the habit of leaving my car engine on when I park for a few hours. With this in mind, what total idiot came up with parking charges depending on your car emissions? When you are parked, your engine is OFF! So why different charges? Inspired! I would love to hear from the idiot or idiots who ever came up with that idea and the thinking behind it. I have since found out DVLA can't work out what cars should be charged because the system can't tell your cars emissions. The charging is set at the lowest for ALL cars. This is the norm for half baked ideas about emissions. Do it right first time or not at all.

The cattle market car park is one of a few without height restrictions if in a van, 4x4 or taller vehicle. It is very close to the centre of Bath and we had no issues. Please be mindful that it is steep with drops so be careful when manoeuvring. Maximum 4 hours stay, free to use after 8pm I believe. The app wasn’t too difficult to use which is the same app as used by other local car parks.

Main perks are the lack of height restrictions, it’s just a bit awkward to use.
