The Coop I visit near my house is in Godmanchester on Butcher Drive has got a horrible smell in one of the refrigerators, it's located in the middle of the aisle. It smells as if someone died there. I said about it to the cashier, but to no avail. Nothing has changed since August 2023 till today April 2024!! . I just stopped buying anything from that particular fridge, although I like desserts very much. Unfortunately, the fridge should be thrown out. I assume you can never clean it up from that stinking smell. In addition, I didn't feel well after a Costa coffee one day. I guess the vending machine should be cleaned properly. So I stopped buying coffee as well...
Anyway I use the Coop for emergency supplies. Hope the hygiene will improve there soon. Wish you all the best

A friendly local store with your every day amenities. I would say there’s better options in the not to distant area if you’re looking for a wide selection of groceries but as far as your everyday bits, this store is perfect.
