We initially approached Chill whilst in the process of buying our house, their services were recommended to us by both friends and family, some of whom are in the building industry.
Chill initially provided us with a Electrical Inspection Condition Report (EICR) - which was worth its weight in gold when it came to understanding both the condition of the property and what works needed to be done (compliancy and preferential). Chill were excellent with this, in respect of both the report (which helped ascertain if any further negotiation on the sale price was required) but also translating what the findings of the report meant, and then presenting reasonable options to both make the property safe and to bring the property up to regulation/ standard (with cost estimations to help assess options). Further to this, they also helped us develop proposals in line with our aspired renovation target dates, considering sequencing for the first and second fix and the interface of other trades. Extremely experienced and crucial input into what was quite the undertaking for two ambitious, yet inexperienced renovators!
When it came to undertaking the works, we favoured Chill, but still took the time to review other prices. Chill were very competitive in that respect. We subsequently appointed Chill to undertake a partial re-wire of our Victorian property ( with new sockets & locations, new light switches, TV aerial, fixtures and fittings etc).
The initial phase of our renovation was extremely time sensitive and Chill did everything they could to work with us to meet our target dates, which were extremely ambitious and time/ cost sensitive.
Chill were excellent communicators, turned up when they said they would and were a pleasure to have on our project. Clean, tidy, well mannered and flexible when unexpected issues arose which impacted them. Would 100% recommend them and we will be using them in our next phase of works.
