Is a historic county and council area in Scotland, bordering the council areas of Stirling, Fife and Perth & Kinross.

The name is derived from three languages the first Scottish Gaelic: Chlach meaning "Stone", Mannan is a derivative of the Brythonic name of the Iron Age tribe the Manaw, who inhabited the area, and the English word shire. As Britain's smallest historic county, it is often nicknamed "The Wee County". When written, Clackmannanshire is commonly abbreviated to Clacks.

Not a good council at all called about issues with my downstairs neighbours regarding noise complaints (which Is a council flat) and they refuse to help! There are drugs within that home ( we are aware of this as we get the smell coming up into our home ! )
but yet the council still do not care they are absolutely useless!

They make fun of people
They do not take baskets because they are supposed to be too heavy, thinking that after 3 weeks it will be empty? We pay for these baskets to be emptied and this is scandalous behavior!

Useless! Have got a cheek to take rent money off of tenants, not willing to repair original faults which have caused other problems, always just a patch up job that never lasts. I must say it’s not the actual guys on the grounds fault, and it is probably to do with budget cuts and the workers being told to do this by higher.

Not a very good council only empty the green bins once every 3 weeks. Hardly grit the roads in winter. Charge bussiness very high rates. Over all a very poor example of a council. Other councils should use clackmannanshire as a benchmark of how not to run a council.
