Do not spend your money with this company. There’s a reason 10% of the reviews are 1 Star. Hundreds of people have had the same bad experiences.

You’d be hard pushed to find a company with lower quality work and poorer customer service than Clever Energy. The gap between what they say, and what they do, could not be bigger.

I was unfortunate enough to fall for the glossy brochures and customer success stories.

What I got was a litany of mistakes and errors, voiced over by a patronising, disinterested and unhelpful management response.

The boiler install was a disaster. We have underfloor heating and the underqualified engineer failed to return the system to working order during his visit. He left system that would overheat and trip out.

The company failed to restore it to working order on multiple occasions thereafter. It took them 2 visits from an underfloor heatings specialist to fix. We went weeks without functioning central system, all the while being chased for payment.

The engineer made a mess of the brick on the external wall, and failed to clean up anything after himself externally.

The engineer also installed our brand new radiator back to front! Quite unbelievable. The finish of the radiator was marked by the wall fixing, so we couldn’t have it returned to the correct orientation.

Finally, the servicing is a disaster. At a days notice the latest serviced was cancelled in June. It took 20/30 phone calls and emails to muster a response and get a return date in November. The engineer failed to turn up. Another 10 calls ensued to rebook. And guess what? The engineer failed to turn up. Finally, after another round of calls someone came. We haven’t heard from the since, despite owing us a follow up and a new part. Apparently this is completely reasonable service to them.

Do not spend your money with this company. Avoid at all costs.

We are using this company for about 10 yrs. Our boiler stopped working on 20th Dec, today is 3rd Jan and we are still without heating and hot water. Great Christmas and New Year! And you guess what, we still didn't get a date when our boiler will be fixed, just keep listening their promises and apologies. Avoid this company like as plaque!

Had the kitchen ripped out so boiler was installed first it’s not even straight ! Then paid for 5year service. Just before the service the thermostat stopped working so no heating called them eventually got through they don’t cover thermostat under warranty!!!!!!!
Had them out to do the service that we have paid for they charged another 85 pound for some liquid then need to use to flush the system! They have done the service 27th November 2 weeks later the ceiling is falling down had to call home insurance who came out and said the ceiling is full of water from the shoddy boiler work the pipes have been leaking around 2 weeks. Not happy at all stay well clear of this company

Avoid!! Absolutely Diabolical
Everytime i had arranged anything for issues raised with my boiler, service ect no engineer turned up, or the day before get let down.. usual 'someone will contact to re arrange' no one does!! Just like to take payments off people, and don't give you what you've paid for! Full years service plan!!
I rung as after my 1st service was actually attended to my boiler had issues the day after, i contacted them to ask for help, no-one contacted me to help! In which resulted me having no heating for nearly 2 days, I had to pay for someone to come and solve the issue!

Please do not use this company. They are fraud. They took 3 years service cost in advance and service is overdue more than 18 months. I am paying them breakdown cover. They never respond and dont answer their emails. I am taking them to ombudsman. I regret not using well known companies. They were as expensive as others. Their manager Mr Terry McCormick makes false promises and never get things done. They sell their product by making false promises. They do not even deserve one star.

Arranged for an engineer am visit.
I called after midday and was told it would be late afternoon between 4 and 5 and they would call when the engineer was on the way. Guess what !!!! no call no engineer as yet 17.30. Not the first time they have let me down not good customer service. No recomendations from me for this business.

Scam artist don’t touch them never answer phone, had water through ceiling leaking boiler. Two days to call me back asked for a manager never phoned back either…

You pay your money, you make an appointment, you take time off work, no courtesy call, no engineer, appointment missed, no explanation, treated like dirt, they tie you into a contract which is part of your guarantee, but then do not carry out their obligation, I can't give zero stars if I could, I would
