If I could leave 0 stars then I would - Clever Energy charge us £150 - £200 per month for heating and hot water for a couple living in a 2 bedroom property, in the height of summer. Trapped in a contract in a rental property which is part of a residential development of flats. Avoid at all costs

I’ve had an issue with this Clever energy company for months now, and it’s extremely frustrating. Even though my household doesn’t use a lot of water my bill is always 100 pounds plus every month just for water ffs, don't even think they read meters they just estimate if you pay a certain amount this month the following month they will make it a little different with 3 or 5 pounds. No regard for actual usage, and just inflate the charges regardless.

We used Clever Energy for utility re-billing in our block of flats. We terminated our contract with them a few months ago, but they have yet to transfer the final month’s billing (approximately £10,000). For the past two months, they have assured us weekly that the payment would be sent, yet nothing has happened."

The reviews have said it all. This billing company does a lot of ripping off with exorbitant charges for no reason. They charge over 100 pounds a year as "billing fee" in addition to at least 3 other standing charges. And when you send email they do not reply. If you call them they basically lie that they'll get there manager to call but no one calls. I'd give negative stars if possible. It's still unclear why apartments engage their service despite This my much terrible negative reviews. I guess it must be cheap as they're passing over the cost to tenants.

I am giving two stars now because I received an exaggerated monthly charge based on the incorrect monthly consumption data. I have submitted the actual meter reading and has reached out on the official email address - and had received no response for us. The charge is still incorrect and the deadline for payment is approaching.

I am ready to change the rating is the issue is resolved, but at the moment it feels very frustrating.

Worst utility supplier experience I've ever had. Extortionately high prices (even with using no heat) Extortionately high service/standing fees and very regular increases with tragic customer service, dire communication and inconsistent billing which has often been followed up with late fees to consumers!

Honestly no idea why communal buildings/apartments contract this company, AVOID!

I’d never heard of the company until they emailed me out of the blue. This company chased me 10+ times for an electricity bill that wasn’t for me. They continued to send emails even after I provided significant evidence I wasn’t liable for the bill. The customer service is very poor, and they just ignore emails. I should never have had to deal with this company and have asked they delete my data and don’t contact me again.

This is the worst billing company ever! I have been charged overestimated bills for over 2 years, and I have raised over 200 emails to them, and still they haven't solved any issue.
