Fantastic service from Clifford Heating. Came at very short notice over Christmas period to do an oil boiler service. Extremely knowledgeable engineer spent plenty of time stripping down the burner, cleaning/replacing parts where necessary, explaining all the servicing process. Made no mess, very polite. Would recommend 100%

After cleaning both chimneys, Joe inspected my 26 year old, tired looking clearveiw log burner and cracked brick hearth and prepared a quote to refurbish both and put a cowl on the chimney. A good price was given and the work was completed a few weeks later. No long wait, which is so common these days. A really professional job with a great finish. Burner looks brand new with porcelain slab hearth. It really uplifted our kitchen. So polite and caring. Really recommend Clifford's. Check out the after and before pics.

I can unreservedly recommend this company. I have had my Aga serviced since it was installed by Aga, and then by Aga’s contracted out agents, Repair Tech. However Aga stopped offering their increasingly expensive service plan and I spent some time scouting for another option.
Thankfully I came across Clifford Heating Ltd and have been absolutely delighted that I did. Rarely do you come across a company that is so dedicated and knowledgeable. It’s so nice to deal with a family owned company that clearly appreciates their customers and is prepared to go the extra mile for them. Clifford Heating Ltd are that company. Use them…you won’t be disappointed.

5 Stars well deserved. Our Rayburn installation was not straight forward due to poor workmanship from a previous installation attempt. Tom initially came out to survey the job, he was on time and courteous. The quote promptly followed and we booked Cliffords in to undertake the work. In this industry everyone is busy and you have to accept what companies lead times are so we waited the allotted time. Again, the two engineers turned up on time 2 days in a row and efficiently carried out the work, explaining what they were doing along the way and advising on where improvements to our whole heating system could be made. Craig and Stuart are a credit to their company very knowledgeable and friendly. We will be asking Cliffords to come back in the future to undertake further work on our heating. For those reading this I just wanted to make a point of the customers that decided to leave 1 star reviews. I work in a very similar sector where certain individuals prefer to try and bully suppliers with leaving bad Google reviews and I always maintain that this says more about the individual leaving the bad review that the actual service provided. There is always 2 sides to a story and most bad reviews are a result of the misconceptions of the end user.

Once again Clifford’s Chimney cleaning service did a first rate job . The engineer ( Joe) arrived at the allotted time slot and efficiently carried out all the required work on my various multi fuel stoves. I am always delighted and amazed how he manages to carry out the required tasks without leaving any mess.
Like Cliffords excellent central heating services the multi fuel services are very good and great value for money . What is comforting is that Cliffords ensure that they are only a call away should some unforeseen events occur especially during the winter.

We have just had a complete makeover of a central heating system in a very old property and are extremely pleased with the result. It wasn't a straight forward job but Clifford's went out of their way to accommodate us, even down to the trendy exposed pipework, a positive work of art on Craig's part. We would highly recommend them and fully intend to use them again for a solid fuel installation in the future.

BEWARE.
I felt I had to write this review to warn potential customers in order that local people are aware of the problems we experienced with this company.

I booked an appointment to have the chimney swept as this company advertised in our local journal, Idle Times which is distributed around the local villages, stating 'clean brush and vacuum sweep.' The fee was £54. The sweep arrived and said there was a problem with a screw on the spigot which is attached to the flue and needed attention before he could sweep the chimney. We understood that there would be no fee for the initial 5 minute visit and therefore arranged an appointment to have the screw fixed and the chimney swept.

The sweep arrived and spent the day working on the spigot leaving dust throughout the downstairs of the house and resulting in the chimney breast needing repainting. As he left he could not give a date or time to return to finish the job. I telephoned Mr. Clifford the next morning and complained. I found his attitude rude and offhand but he agreed to send the sweep back that morning to finish the job.

At the conclusion of the work I was presented with a bill for £474 which included an initial charge of £54 together with a further charge of £54 for sweeping the chimney together with an hourly rate. We always pay our bills on time and I paid the sweep £420 having deducted £54 as the bill included 2 sweeps. The next morning I received a telephone call from Mr. Clifford and I found his attitude aggressive.

I have received repeated emails from this company badgering for the £54, the last letter threatening court action. We are a retired couple and have never had a problem with our workmen before. In fact we gave our plumber a voucher for a meal for 2 at the Markham Moor Inn as a thank you for the work he had carried out for us over the years.

Against our better judgment, we paid the £54 but feel we have been harassed. Life is too short to have to deal with this type of Company.

I read from previous reviews that there are a number of customers who felt it necessary to warn customers not to use this company and I wholeheartedly agree. BEWARE. I wish I had read these reviews before I agreed to let them carry out the work.

Avoid this company at all cost. Although the engineer was a reasonable chap - I was chased for a £50 bill whilst in the middle of the job and was told I wouldn't be receiving a survey until it was paid - very poor communications, Tom (the owner) belongs in the 1970s for his level of customer care. I would seriously find another company to use.

Further to your response (one that was expected) your communications were very poor. You weren't blackmailed - you were in the middle of exploratory works which your engineer promised to return. However after a call from you, it was clear that Clifford Heating was withdrawing any further work until the bill was paid - the problem was you never told the customer. Once I realised that was the case Clifford Heating were paid, however no phone call from Tom resulted (as promised) to continue the work came. Very poor service.
