Cool Power Electrical (CPE) completed a 5KW in roof system complete with Tesla Powerwall 3 battery.

Before I commissioned CPE to do the install I contacted several companies, CPE were by no means the cheapest but were not the most expensive either, although what did they did provide over and above the others was time to talk through what it is you actually wanted, and providing valuable information on optimising the system.

I was probably not the easiest customer, I can be quite particular, in addition the site presented its own challenges, not due to access, but due to the shear distances between the solar array, battery and electrical meter.

When the install commenced the operation was slick, scaffolding up the day before the install started, the actual install was completed over a four day period in which all the workmen were polite and tidy, they did a really neat job.

The nice touches was that each evening Andrew checked in to make sure all was well with in the install thus far and gave me a chance to voice any issues or concerns, for which there were none.

Post install, the customer service has been great, the follow up paperwork arrived quickly allowing me to register with my provider for export.

Very pleased with the install, I would recommend CPE to anyone wanting to go down the solar route, this company prides itself on customer service service and it shows!

Don't hesitate, we found Andrew and his team engaging, reliable and efficient, and chose them in favour of a one size fits all offering from a leading electricity supply company, on a recommendation from the firm installing our heat pump. We were advised by Andrew that we had room for two extra panels, and that optimisers were needed to compensate for shading. We also opted for a gizmo sending data to the SolarEdge app, also not offered by the bigger company. The time frame was quick, installed just a few weeks after our first discussions. In brief, we got the system we actually needed and wanted, working perfectly, with some old-fashioned customer service, and the promise of support further discussions in the future as we work out whether a battery can complement the system.

My domestic solar and battery storage project seemed quite complicated, not least as there was so much to learn and think about (charge/discharge rates, flexible tariffs, optimizing the size of the solar array vs. battery capacity and lots of other things to think about), but Andrew and his team have been exemplary in providing objective advice and sharing their real-world experience from many client installs and of course providing sensible guidance. Once all the permutations have been agreed and the final system designed, the process was flawless. All appointments were punctual, the team worked very efficiently and quickly, and everything worked well, right from the get-go. Made the enquiry via the Tesla website and Andrew got in touch within 24h and the installation took place 3 weeks later as agreed.

They were clean and very knowledgeable only left when everything was working although and it’s important to mention that we had a slight issue with the charging schedules (This was a Tesla issue) but Andrew and the team handle this directly with Tesla and it was resolved within 48h.

Really happy with the service and do recommend and will use them again in the future.

I've known Andrew and the team at Coolpower Electrical for a number of years as they looked after the maintenance of my previous Solar install in Buckinghamshire. When we relocated to Cheshire they were my first call even before we completed on the property! With a major renovation that we undertook on the house Andrew was always available to advise on the options and as we planned a Solar PV and battery install which had to be phased with our redevelopment there was much advanced planning to be done with some cabling being put in 18 months in advance of the final battery install.
