Co-op Balfron is the must-visit retail destination for the winning combination of surly, disinterested staff... and prices that are set at the most we reckon we can get away with.

This benchmark retailer is home of the 'no-apology promise.'  In the very likely incidence of us over charging you, or you selecting an opened or damaged item, we 100% guarantee not to say sorry, or acknowledge this in any way.

Indeed, as you walk around the store, we will never say hello, or smile. Need assistance? We'd rather not. It takes a lot of effort to look this unhappy at work. Go away.

The co-op is based in the communities they serve, usually not the size of a supermarket but enough for a family to shop for nearly all their needs. Opens even when there is a pandemic or weather that stands the community. Every community needs one!

I got harassed for my nationality by a ginger worker. He came out the shop and started verbally abusing us, telling us to f off. As I am a polish born male myself, my fellow friend as a joke said “come back here to poland” the angry ginger worker proceeded to then say “aye f off back to poland” I feel heavily embarassed and traumatised by this unfair experience. I will not be visiting again. For any other minorities, i would avoid this shop.

Staff slow to respond to checkouts.
Accidently bought out of date bakery items from here, must have poor date scanning. Would recommend only going here as a last resort, as there is not many convenience stores in the area.

Price labels missing, items incorrectly priced on the shelves, poor organisation and lack of choice. This is a systematic falure of the monoply the co-operative corporation has in this area, not just Balfron.

There was a better selection before they done up the shop. Lots of fave's gone and when you ask them why they don't have certain things the answer is always "we have to follow the "plan"".
