I’ve been using this Co op for just over a year (as it’s my local shop) and I have honestly never been to a shop with so many grumpy, rude, lazy staff! The way I get spoken to every time I go in isn’t acceptable so I will be writing to head office.

Every time I visit this branch there is so much meat in the fridges that has turned grey, this hasn't just happened once, that you could put it down to a mistake, but it consistently happens in this branch.
Considering how high their prices are, you'd think they could keep on top of this and actually offer good quality produce.

I've been into this Co Op several times now whilst in Heathfield for appointments. The cleanliness of this store blows me away. Not a thing is out of place, the shelves are stocked well, the staff are attentive, and polite. Hands down the cleanest market in the district. Well done all!

Staff member Bryony is a credit to this Co-op, she is extremely helpful, friendly and professional.

Update February 2023. The café within the Co-op in Heathfield is clean, spacious and the food is so reasonably priced it's ridiculous! 😊. I only had a tea cake on this occasion as they had run out of baked potatoes. I'm not surprised, considering they are only £1.50!.My only concern is that there is so much butter wasted, a whole pot for one person /hot cross bun is excessive, maybe re-consider as the staff member admitted there is a lot of butter going to waste. 🤔.

Lovely Co-op, the staff in particular are very efficient and always friendly, a credit to the company. I shop here often as I live locally so it is very convenient. The shop is always well stocked and often has bargains. Could do with a broader range of vegetarian products though.

Earlier in the week I was shocked how rude one of the women staff working on cigarette kiosk was to an elderly customer . I was paying on the self scan at the time . The customer needed help and asked the employee for help. She shouted back to her in a very rude way “ can’t you see I am doing something ,just wait ! “
The customer looked shocked and walked away and another employee who over heard the rude employee said to the customer , don’t worry I will help you .
The coop should not be employing such rude staff.
It’s the second time I have witnessed this person being rude to a customer hence my review .
There seems to be a lack of management and staff training in this store .
Also the toilets are disgusting !

There are a few staff that can be relied on to be helpful and polite, but the vast majority of them are some of the most unhappy, depressed and getaway morose people I've ever met. There is a bad culture here, and I don't know if it is just this branch or company wide, but it makes shopping here a dreary experience.

Been to store today. What a fantastic café with amazing prices! Great selection in store. do try the free range chicken - a treat! The coop need more bigger stores like this one!

I like the coop I shop there every so often but was surprised today of the cost of some of the items one example basmati rice the 2 min cook time they now cost £1.45 a pack in another famous supermarket i shop at as well you can buy 3 packs of the same size same weight rice for £1.45! bit of a shock at some foods I consider veeery high in price petrol has come down so food prices should drop but no sign of that
