Fantastic advice and installation from Country Stoves. Nice to talk to experts who really care about the outcome. They recommended a great builder in Dan Plover to take care of a much needed fireplace rebuild. Highly recommend, and house is warm as hot buttered toast.

Recently my parents ordered an electric stove but after paying the deposit had second thoughts that it would work in the space they had. I contacted Matthew and he could not have been more understanding or kinder refusing to retain any money for a handling charge etc . The deposit was refunded and everything possible done to eliminate any stress for my parents. Both Matthew and his father Martin are so professional and it is little wonder they have been in business so long.

I would not hesitate to recommend Country Stoves to anyone - they are lovely to deal with and have a standard of genuine customer care that is lacking in so many businesses. Thank you both.

Experts in their field. Brilliant service and obtained very useful advice regarding my two stoves that require servicing.

Update: I had 2 stoves serviced a couple of days ago and I was extremely impressed with the level of detail and explanation that was provided during this session. Frank the service engineer was absolutely exceptional and clearly a master of his trade. I learned so many things from him regarding how to use the wood burner stoves to their maximum efficiency including upkeep and maintenance etc. After the service, both stoves looked brand new. Will definitely consult Country Stoves in the future.

We had our stove and flue installed during some building work in 2012 and the stove has performed faultlessly since then. We have it serviced once a year and the team at Country Stoves are great; they arrive on time, put down multiple dust sheets, service the stove fully and leave no mess. I would have no hesitation in recommending them if you are looking for a new stove or to service an existing one.

Really disappointed by the lack of customer service and guidance from Country Stoves.

Stopped by towards the end of December to enquire about having a wood burning stove installed. My husband and I were told that before they would even consider coming out to look at the space we would have to have our existing fireplace removed and they gave us the name of a builder. This should have been the first red flag.

Because they'd been recommended to us we decided to go ahead and use their recommended builder. I then contacted them again to say that we'd had the fireplace removed and the space prepped to have a stove fitted and could they come out and help us understand what our options are? We have a very old grade II listed property and wanted some peace of mind and advice on options for us to consider.

But again no, they wouldn't come out. I'd sent them some photos and they said everything looked fine. They also shared that they're a digital business. I'm not sure who can break this to them but sending photos for someone to look at doesn't really make them a digital business in this day and age. I'd shared on a phone call that there is potential damp in the bricks around the fireplace so having someone to come and look and make sure we could safely install a stove or if we needed to do anything extra in advance would have made us feel a lot more comfortable. They also shared that we would require scaffolding, having got a quote for this it would have added an extra £1700 to the project costs. If we need it then its not a problem but after another company came out to quote they confirmed they could access the roof with ladders.

At this point they still won't share any idea of costs or talk to us in any detail about stove options. Throughout this engagement we also tried to get clarity on the whole process end to end but again its something that Country Stoves have been unable to supply.

Whats even more disappointing is when we first started to raise concerns, the father in this father and son team pretended to not know who we were even though we'd spoken numerous times and had been communicating over email.

Having done more research we've since found we're not the only people to have experienced Country Stoves lack of service. If you're considering using their services I would definitely think twice.

We've since found a great company in Marlow who have been very helpful.

See my earlier review. Now 9 years in and our stove's performance has been faultless, even when we've had to run it continuously for several weeks when our boiler broke. I recommend Country Stoves - their advice, their knowledge and the after sales service - without hesitation.
