EPC inspection feedback 2024 Richard Harrison

I recently asked Richard Harrison to produce an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for my property. It was very quickly obvious that Richard had a well-established, efficient, thorough routine to gather evidence in a very non-intrusive way.

As a scientist, I was constantly asking Richard questions because it is in my nature to understand the science behind things. Richard answered all of my questions in a patient, friendly manner. He displayed a deep understanding of the Physics and Chemistry involved in energy generation and transfer and how they apply to his field of expertise. In addition he explained the economics of how to save money in my house.

Richard has been producing EPC reports for a long time. His knowledge, experience and how he helps his customers is outstanding. My tenant and I were made to feel valued. Richard delivered information at exactly the right level. He demonstrated an ability to deliver technical information to a high level. He was also keen to explain this information at a lower level when asked to do so.

When I did a web search for local EPC professionals, I was bombarded by emails from individuals offering their services. I am always reluctant to choose people who have to do this. Richard didn’t contact me. This showed me that Richard had a full diary. This is a good thing because I believe that the best people to do a job for me are those who have lots of work due to the quality of their work. Before choosing Richard, I read a lot of reviews of a lot of people. Local Surveyors Direct was a great starting point. I encourage you to do the same. Don’t rush into choosing your EPC provider. The results are with you for the next 10 years. It helps people make a decision on the value of your house. I am glad that I chose Richard.

Richard produced the report within the time he promised to. Payment was a simple process and I was even given opportunity to ask more questions after the certificate was registered.

I believe that I am well qualified to write the report above. After 42 years in a profession which involved working with the general public and companies, assessing peoples’ abilities, developing bespoke training courses in a wide range of subjects and helping them progress. Oh, by the way I grew up in a family who were professionals in the building trade and worked with them for 30 years alongside my “proper job”. I cleaned my first drain out for my father when I was 8 years old “because my small arms were able to get round the bends more easily”. I hated installing loft insulation, but I know how to do it properly and how it works.
