Friday I took my daughter to choose her first bike and the staff were very helpful. He showed me which ones where right for her and after we choose one I said I wanted to surprise her. He let me know about the click and collect service and I picked it up this evening. I can’t wait to see her face on her birthday

I took my e-bike to Hawkes to be serviced after previously receiving good customer service. The condition my bike came back in shocked me. While they replaced the tire and broken spokes, they also damaged my bike when they removed the gears. There was a random bit of rubber stuffed into a hole covered in grease as they’d clearly lost the original piece that fit in there. The gears didn’t line up properly and was awkward to change. I couldn’t tell if I was in first gear or second etc.
To top it off, the front tire wobbled, constantly sounding like something was stuck in the spokes and the frame rattled like it was loose somewhere. It really rocked my confidence riding it as I was worried it would fall apart. I had to take it to another bike shop to rectify the issues and just make me trust that it wasn’t going to rattle me off the road.
Picking up the bike was a pain as well. I felt the guy doing the hand over wasn’t interested, only spoke to my dad despite it being my bike and once we’d paid was done with dealing with us.
I don’t doubt the knowledge and experience these guys have but I felt my property wasn’t handled well at all.

I had a puncture that i couldnt fix and had to walk my bike to them because it was the closes cycle shop. Only a 4.2 mile walk in 30+ temp. But I was so glad i went to them. The shop is quite big with a great range of all kinds of bikes. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Not only did they replace the inner tube but discovered that the whole wheel was about to fail. They had one in stock and replaced straight away. They even noticed that my front wheel was the wrong way around. I cant think of a better bike shop that I have every been to. I was back on the road with almost a completely new back wheel in less then half an hour. Faultless service and they were good value.

The guy who helped us was amazing, gave me the right advice for frame size and handle styles etc he was golden! We had planned to only look and come back another day but we were so chuffed with the help we decided to buy there and then, came back half hour later and they had built the bike for us, thanks so much! And the bike has came with 12 month warranty! So happy!

The staff were great. No pressure to buy in the shop justhelp and advise. Service was great built up two bikes and help me fit the bike rack to take him home. We’ll go there again when the kids grow out of these bikes.

We were looking for a bick for our 11 year old and we had looked at sume other places wich sell bikes and we ended up in hawkscycles the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and friendly I would highly recommend this shop my son is very happy with his new bike 🚲

Shop is full of great bikes. They allowed us to try our little boy on the bikes we wanted as we had been struggling to find one that was small enough for him. Bike had a full service too before we took it home. Really helpful, thank you.
