VERY HAPPY with DCR.
Following a careful assessment of local solar providers, I went to DCR for a single project to cover everything (solar panels/batteries/car chargers & extra electrical outlets across the property, such as in the garden) and their work has been exemplary - prompt, courteous and very tidy.
The resulting SolarEdge system works well and there were no unexpected additional costs. Snags were dealt with quickly and well.
Highly recommended.

From start to finish - that's from the initial call to installed, running and working - it took DCR less than 2 weeks to quote and install a new Heat Pump heating system, and remove the old Oil setup.
All the way through the communication was excellent, they sorted the BUS grant and the team worked all day every day to get everything up and running - including repainting the boiler room.
Great job, very happy. Special mention to James for leading the team, and Lewis for coming on the last day to get the glory of the handover.

Update -- After a week ( just heating hot water at the minute ) The house electricity bill is actually less than it was with the old oil boiler!

We had our first service with this company yesterday. The boiler was installed a year ago so it was also the first service for the boiler.
The service engineer, Luke, was prompt, professional and extremely helpful. He kept us well informed about the process which we appreciated. Thank you.

Excellent work on fitting my new oil boiler and chimney liner. They left a nice clean job and worked very hard. They also ate a lot of biscuits but that's OK with me!

We moved into an 1800 6 bedroom 6 bathroom house with 1970 heating with 3 outdated boilers and 28 radiators that were not in keeping with the style of the house. I called DCR to survey the heating of the house as many radiators did not have thermostats in them so we’re either in or off. Lewis produced a very comprehensive report of what we have now and what DCR could provide for our future needs bringing is back to the 21st century. This involved removing the 3 old boilers and replacing with more economical Viessmann boilers. However there was the repositioning of the new boilers and the pipe work and the removal and replacement of 28 radiators. This was not a small job and was estimated to take 3 weeks with 4 heating engineers and one electrician required.
I can’t praise enough the professional and courteous way they all worked and the cleanliness whilst they were working. Everything was completed on time and nothing was too much trouble. All the rubbish was taken away daily. We were never left with piles of rubbish outside or inside. Brickwork that needed replacing was done so you would not know there had ever been any vents previously. All the guys were very personable and just got on with their respective jobs. After 3 weeks it felt we had got additional members of our family.
We now have a heating system in place we can control remotely and will pay itself back in about 3 years given the amount of gas we were previously consuming.
I would not hesitate to recommend DCR and the professional service they provide. They are certainly not the cheapest but very good value for money and do what they say they can do on time and without any fuss with professional people doing a professional job.

DCR were extremely helpful and professional, as another company left us without heating and hot water over the Christmas and New Year period.

I called DCR and their representative Lewis turned up the next day and arranged for a new boiler to be fitted the following day.

We received a first class service from them and we would definitely recommend DCR if you have any issues with your boiler, heating, radiators and hot water.

A big thank you to Emily, Lewis, Jake and all the team at DCR and especially the team that turned up to help us.

We live in a new build (2015) bungalow that is well insulated and has underfloor heating, and to which we added a 12 Panel Solar system about 5 years ago. Over the last 5-6 years the original garage installed combi oil boiler has been terribly unreliable with motors and valves being replaced on multiple occasions. I finally got fed up with going outside to reset it and faced with replacing the same parts again, I thought it was time to give an Air Source Heat Pump a go. Having arranged a meeting with Lewis to look at the house he quickly persuaded me that this was not the best way forward and that I should stay with an oil boiler, but half the size of the old one, and add a water immersion that would mainly be heated by solar power (iBoost) that can be topped up by oil if the weather was poor. The boiler he suggested is ready for Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil when it becomes more main stream so I can go "green" when it becomes sensible to do so. We moved forward with it and the system was installed between the 5th and 9th June. From the photo you can see the quality of the work carried out, and I am highly impressed with the result. Pipes are plumb and true, the wall hanging fixtures are completely capped off, and the "making good" has been excellent. Even the bricks where the old flue came out of the garage have been matched perfectly... that is hard to do. They also clear up each and every night and the site was spotless when they left. The team have done a great job and the quality of work is as good as any I have seen...

Of course I cannot say too much about heating - time will tell, but I was initially a bit concerned about the hot water as the tank has 2 thermostats and only the lower one has a temperature readout in the garage - this is set to 55 degrees. The lower one is actually visible on an App and shows the temperature at the lower section of the tank. During the very hot days we had I was struggling to understand what the app temperature was still only reading 24-25 degrees when the thermostat was set to 55. Solar seemed to be hardly ever on and the temperature was not going up. What I did not realise, until it was explained to me, was how much temperature difference can be felt within the upper and lower part of the tanks - yes I know heat rises, but its only 6 to 8 inches! I believe the tank is partitioned. The iBoost heats about 120l of water to the upper thermostat setting, which is too hot to hold your hand under. It is enough for two of us to have a good shower of an evening without running out of water. The lower part of the tank is heated by the boiler should I choose to do so. I can say now that iBoost heats up quickly on sunny days, but even over the last couple of overcast days it has heated the tank by mid afternoon utilising solar power very efficiently. Because I am lazy, and would probably forget to switch it on if the weather was bad, I do have the boiler coming on for 20 minutes in the evening just as a back up, and this heats up the lower part of the tank, but I would wager this is way less than the combi was using to keep the pre-heated water tank up to temperature. I am a convert thus far. Hopefully it will continue to work well throughout the winter sunshine even though I fully expect the boiler to be working harder on the duller days.
Thank you DCR for the quality of work, communicating with us during the iBoost discussions, and keeping me happy whilst I whinged about the last roof tile...
You do great work.
