I used DEL last year to fit a new Kitchen and they did a great job so when I decided I needed a new bathroom, I went to them again. They have just finished it and as before, I can’t fault them at all. Everything was top quality and the fitters took their time to make sure everything was done properly. I m wouldn’t hesitate in recommending DEL and I will use them again myself in the future.

I have just read Mr Nicklin's review which has prompted me to write a review of my experiences with DEL.

I find it hard to believe this can be the same company, as I have used them for my property developments for over seven years and on a regular basis & have recommended them many times and have always been satisfied with the excellent service they provide & the high quality of workmanship.

They have fitted new kitchens, bathrooms & central heating systems & have continually set the high standard benchmark that I require.

I have always found that Derek or Paul are very approachable and design the bathrooms & kitchens and provide a complete solution. Whenever any minor snagging has been highlighted Derek resolves the issue & is keen I am totally satisfied with the job.

Additionally, DEL have never asked me for money up front & only invoice me when the job is complete, so can't be fairer than that & offer good value for money.

I trust my review offers some balance as potential customers have to make their own mind up. I would however suggest they visit either the Ulverston or Witherslack showrooms & see for yourself the significant investment made which demonstrates their professionalism & investment in our local area which I believe we should support.

DEL used contractors to install a kitchen. On a fixed price they were always in a hurry cutting corners. The units were installed with the protective wrap still on them - so the units had to come out again to remove the cellophane wrap!!! Clearly I was not impressed. The contractor also drilled and screwed a cabinet fastener through a central heating pipe which I had pencil marked on the wall as a warning, leading to a waterfall feature in the stud partition wall and the plaster written off. Although these mistakes were all rectified, it meant our kitchen was out of action for yet another week, and DEL have never offered so much as a bunch of flowers by way of saying sorry. I will do most things to keep business local so I would suggest since they offer a fair price and local employment, and my experience seems to have been fairly isolated and caused by a rogue contractor, it is worth giving DEL a shot.

A guy came to have a look at our bathroom to give us a quote well before Christmas 2015. I phoned this company in between Christmas and New Year as we still had no quote and the guy apologised that they had not sent it but they would send out another one. Well April arrived and guess what still no quote so I phoned them up again and it was the same guy I spoke to in Dec, he told me he had sent out two quotes and didn't know why I had not received any So I said could you please send out another.....oh!!!! we do not have your quote anymore so we will have to come out again. Haha so I said right okay.
I then received a text message on 12th April saying Let them know what day is best for us and they will come out immediately.

After being unreliable so far it took us time to decide if we wanted them to come back out but in the end we thought least it's one quote. Haha well guess what? I replied saying we would like them to come back out and although they read my message i got no reply so i sent another text and the same read but no reply.

I would definitely not recommended this company to do any work in your house. They need training in communication, postal skills, customer service and reliability. If they can not get a quote to you within a week or two then to me they are not going to be realiable through the rest of the work.

Positives - the guy who came round to look at our bathroom was very helpful and if you want anything done I would miss this company out and go straight to him.
