Ordered a shower switch part number P81901342 on Friday 31.01.2025 and received a confirmation email timed at 15:06.

Shortly afterwards received a telephone voicemail message stating item was not presently in stock but would be dispatched as soon as new stock arrives normally within 5 to 7 working days.

It was sent out by DHL on the 11.02.2025 and received on Wednesday 12th February 2025, unfortunately the switch was the incorrect switch ( see photos below of switch on DHS website, my old switch which matches the image on their website and a photo of the switch I received ).

Sent an email that afternoon directly to the email address at the top of the delivery note together with photos stating I had received the incorrect part and could they please issue a returns label ( I had sourced a correct replacement elsewhere ).TWO days later on Friday 14th February 2025 I received a reply from the Specialist Business Unit.......no apology or explanation for the incorrect switch being delivered.....just a simple message stating "Good afternoon, I have requested for a collections label to be raised and sent to your email address to collect and return for a refund"

Later that afternoon I received another email from DHS this time from Customer Operations Team with a link to download a returns label and confirmation of UPS coming to collect FIVE days later on Wednesday 19th February 2025 sometime between 9am and 4pm.

According to UPS tracking details it was delivered back to DHS Front Desk on Thursday 20th February 2025 at 9:01.

I sent an email to DHS Customer Operations Team on Thursday 20th February 2025 at 15:53 stating that DHS had received the incorrect switch back at their premises and could they please advise when the refund would be paid back and the amount.

As at the time of writing this review some THREE working days later I have still not had the courtesy of a reply.

REALLY SLOOOOOOOOOW AND LOOOOOOOOOOONG WINDED CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Will I be using DHS again..................................................thats a......GREAT BIG NO!

DHS........I am not interested in reaching out.......please just issue my refund!

UPDATE.

Despite requesting no reply from DHS, they go against customer wishes and reply.........shows how much respect they have!

The customer service is nothing short of terrible, busy period or not..........over THREE working days ( five including weekend days ) and no reply to an email request.

Regarding your switches comment............they are completely different switches........the photos even demonstrate this. To reiterate, I ordered a switch as per the website image. My old switch was an indentical match. The switch you supplied has side tabs fitted with screw holes to secure in position, its a completely different fitting............its quite obvious if someone cares to study the photos/images!

I CAN CONFIRM THAT I HAVE BEEN REFUNDED £12.49. DHS HAVE CHARGED ME AND DEDUCTED £4.00 FROM THE REFUND AMOUNT FOR THE DELIVERY OF THE INCORRECT SWITCH BACK TO THEIR PREMISES.

I WILL BE CONTACTING TRADING STANDARDS ABOUT THIS MATTER..........ITS NOW A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE.

SECOND UPATE on the 26.02.2025.

Received an email from DHS stating that once it was realised only a partial refund had been issued, a credit for a further £4.00 was raised and should be back in my account within 3-5 working days.

The email also contained an admission that their supplier had supplied DHS with the incorrect part to what was orignally ordered.

The service is beyond poor. I placed an order on a Tuesday for next day delivery. No order received by Tuesday and waited until Wednesday evening again nothing. Contacted DHS by phone and then was promised it would be dispatched and that I will receive the order on Thursday, again parts have not been delivered received and gave them benefit of doubt and waited Friday and yet again my order not delivered. I called on Monday and asked about my order the guy on the phone was passive and unprofessional. I asked for a refund as I have not received my parts, I've not been given a refund. I'm disappointed by the overall service, I've waited a week and my parts have not yet arrived. After cancelling the order DHS then emailed me an apologised for the mix up and said they'll now dispatched my order after I've cancelled it. I don't want the parts now a week and half later. I now have sourced the parts from elsewhere. This is my first and last experience in DHS , never again.

Placed an order on Monday 24th March and recieved promptly on the 26th sadly the matrix I ordered was broken , I contacted customer service and sent pics of the item was replaced quickly and arrived today Thursday 27th , great customer service will definitely order from again 5* service

Ordered parts on 10th December 24 was promised delivery by Friday.
Yodel is a disgraceful company for delivery service despite knowing yodel delivery history they use Yodel to save money on delivery charge which paid by customer.
No part arrived so they said twice we will email you tracking number not happened.

In the future, will not use DHS any more they let me down, and my company let senior vulnerable customer down
Bravo DHS what a disgusting service you provid.

DHS used to be very reliable. Last few orders have arrived very late and left me with disappointed and cold customers. I appreciate it’s a courier issue but DHS are choosing to use an unreliable courier. Their response to emails fails to address my issues but instead shift the blame. Customer service used to be top notch but has recently adopted an “I couldn’t care less” attitude to issues. As such, I shall no longer be using DHS or recommending them to anyone. There’s plenty of choice out there, DHS appears to have become complacent to that.
