We had to book this car at short notice ( due to a bad experience at another car hire !! ). The two guys here were great from the start. The younger guy Connor came & picked us up and was cheerful and polite. Then we met Harry who was also cheerful and very professional.. He explained everything to us and even gave us an upgrade.
I would recommend using this hire car service and definitely if I'm back in Glasgow would use them again .

We arrived from London by train with our 3 month old baby to hire a car from Drivalia. We had called and emailed in advance to confirm that there would be a suitable car seat for a baby available. We were reassured that there would be on two separate occasions however when we arrived there was a booster seat suitable for a BIG toddler waiting for us. I informed the man working that I could probably fit in it and that our baby (obviously) cannot even sit up so how did he expect her to sit in that? He said “can’t you just put her in it?”. After we informed him that a baby could not sit in a booster seat, he went into the back room and dug out the worst car seat I have ever seen. There was no neck support and it was flimsy, cheap and unsafe. We unfortunately had no choice but to leave with this appalling piece of equipment as they were closing and we would have been otherwise stranded. We had to source a car seat from a family member for the remainder of our trip as we would not drive with our baby in such an unsafe car seat. We were charged £50 for this!!!!
To make matters worse, we were also informed we would have to pay £38 per day because my husbands credit card was expiring in 2.5 months, so therefore could not be used for insurance (?!?!?!) even though we were returning the car in 4 days. When we asked if we could use my (his WIFE’s) credit card instead, the man said no because they were about to close and there wasn’t time. A complete scam in my opinion. We would never use this service again or recommend it to anyone we know.

We booked and paid in advance for the car, a small SUV. Before I booked I knew we were going to want to take the car to the Isle of Mull in Scotland and I contacted Drivalia to find out their policy for taking the car to the Scottish Islands. I received an email saying there was no additional cost for taking the car to Mull. The booking said to make sure we advised Drivalia if we would be late picking up the car. Our flight from Gatwick was 3 hours late. We called Drivalia from Gatwick and told them we would definitely be picking up the car but would be late. When we arrived we were told there was no small SUV so we had to get a bigger car and they charged 200 GBP for it. I noticed on the booking sheet it said if we took the car to any of the islands there would be an additional 60GBP. I spoke to the attendant and showed him my emails which he took a photo of and noted that we would not be charged. When we returned the car everything seemed ok and I got the email saying no charges for anything. Then I noticed a charge of 60GBP on my card. I contacted Drivalia and was told I had to pay. I again explained that I had the emails and I was told to send them the emails again and they would "consider" my case. I sent the emails and have received another email saying Head Office will refund my 60GBP. I would never hire a car from this company again. I had returned another Drivalia car to Gatwick earlier in the day. They had given us a free upgrade on our car hire in Gatwick. The Glasgow people just want to fleece you for as much money as possible.

I really can’t fault this company. The cost compared very favourably with any of the other companies I looked at.
Had to wait a few minutes for the shuttle mini bus, but that’s to be expected.
Daniel was helpful and explained everything clearly. Although you have to pay the excess upfront, it’s on a credit card and is credited back at the end of the hire. Unfortunately another customer seemed to struggle to understand this and I was very impressed with the calm and polite way Daniel’s colleague handled this.
We were offered a very welcome free upgrade by Daniel and drove off in a lovely hybrid Yaris.
Communication about existing damage was sent on an email so there could be no misunderstandings when we returned the car.
Return was also very efficient.
I will definitely use Drivalia again. Thank you guys, you made this a very stress free experience. 🙂

I had an excellent experience with this rental car service. The booking process was smooth, the vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described.

Awful!!!! After we arrived they required a £2500 deposit unless we took their £40 insurance. The other option was the "required" £25 insurance for them as well as the £2500 deposit. Awful customer service!! We will definitely not be using them again! The van driver was very pleasant.
