East Riding Energy did an excellent job updating my original solar panel installation. They replaced the inverter with GivEnergy inverter, installed a 9kWh GivEnergy battery and a myenergi Zappi EV charger. This enabled me to switch to Octopus Go tariff, current rates are 04:30 to 00:30 30p/kWh , and 00:30 to 04:30 9p/kWh. Charging the battery with the 4 hours of 9p/kWh and utilising the solar panels enabled me to keep the average charge for electricity on most days to about 11p/kWh. I have since changed my tariff to Octopus Intelligent Go which offers 6 hours (23:30 to 05:30 ) at 7.5p/kWh and 18hours ( 05:30 to 23:30) at 29.5p/kWh. The system has also been configured to provide electricity for "essential services" (broadband router, computer, kettle ) during mains power outages.) Good job all round.

We needed to replace a faulty Solaredge optimiser on our PV installation. Although Solaredge sent out a replacement unit promptly, our original installer could never get round to attending site. Eventually gave up on them and made contact with East Riding Energy. Michelle in the office arranged for them to come on a date to suit us. Steve and the lads turned up on the day and at the time time promised. Due to wet roof tiles and other complications, it was not safe to do the job off ladders - so they arranged a tower and came back the following morning, removed several panels for access, replaced the optimiser and also replaced some too short clamps that the installer had fixed the panels with.

Not a cheap job - but completed to timings as agreed and the panel is finally back on line. Excellent service. Happy to recommend.

I decided to up capacity to my current solar pv system and to compliment it with some battery storage. After research I chose the Tesla battery system and contacted several companies on the approved supplier list. East Riding Energy were by far the most professional and approachable; they made lots of suggestions and gave ideas on what was possible. They were honest about the waiting times for the supply of the equipment and as soon as it arrived (they kept me informed throughout) they contacted me to arrange the fitting. They supplied 4.1kw of extra solar pv and two Tesla powerwall 2 batteries together with an extra inverter. All the fitters were polite and efficient from the senior engineer down to the apprentice. The whole solar array was fitted in 1 day. The batteries, gateway and inverter were installed over the next few days and commissioned by the boss!! Since July 2023 I have not had to import any electricity from the grid at all and it’s now the middle of October. Happy days.
If you are thinking of installing a solar pv system and/or batteries then choose East Riding Energy. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
