I’m impressed after my first visit. Everyone I talked to was very friendly and seemed genuinely appreciative of my business. Since I am local and live alone, the free shuttle service kept me from having to wait at the shop while service was done. I took my truck in to have the oil, filter, fuel filter, and coolant changed. Since this was my first visit and they didn’t have any history on my vehicle, they later called to ask when the coolant was last changed since it still looked good. I told them it was last changed four years ago and that I wanted it changed. Again, since they didn’t know the vehicle’s history, they also asked a few other questions, such as when the belt was last replaced, if the rear differential had been serviced, etc. I was current on all other maintenance they asked about, and I appreciated the fact that they asked as, since I’ve retired and don’t drive as much, time slips away and it seems harder to keep track of when routine maintenance was last performed. When I got home, I checked the dipstick, and the oil level was EXACTLY at the full mark, not ¼” above as was typical of the shop that changed the oil the last several times that I had it done. As expected since the engine was hot, the coolant level was a little above the cold fill line on the reservoir, but after the engine cooled it was EXACTLY at the cold fill line. In my opinion, attention to detail is everything when it comes to customer satisfaction. Needless to say, I will have no hesitation about going back to Eby’s for service.

I've used Eby's Garage several times in the last couple years and have always had good experiences. The staff has been friendly, polite, and professional and the prices have been reasonable. Unfortunately, I am giving 3 stars because of the unreasonable price I was charged at the most recent visit when I brought in a vehicle for a coolant flush and to replace the thermostat. Initially they quoted me 550$ which I felt was a little high but I've always had good experiences there so I agreed. Job finished and the total came to 660$. I look at the invoice and they charged me 90$ for a "courtesy inspection" which I didn't ask for and was not clearly articulated at drop off. Not a big deal. However, they also charged me 1.5 hours labor (244$) just for replacing the thermostat. I am decently mechanically inclined and I can clearly see the thermostat is right at the top of the engine, its easy to access, and requires removing just 2 bolts and a hose clamp to replace. No way that job takes more than 15 minutes for any competent technician. I called and asked for an explanation on the labor charge and was told that they simply charge the "book rate" or more if the job takes more. I never try to split hairs on this kind of thing but charging 1.5 hours, almost $250 labor, for a 15 minute task is not reasonable, whether that's the "book rate" or not. That, on top of the "courtesy inspection", made what should have been a 300-400$ job into 660$. Overall I like Eby's, the people there are friendly and easy to work with, but I recommend looking at their price breakdown, particularly labor, with some scrutiny before agreeing to any work.

Edit - I am updating this review to 4 stars after speaking with the owner. He reached out the following day and was very polite and respectful and explained the labor charge, apparently there was some miscommunication between the work the technician did and what was shown on the invoice and he agreed to refund 100$.

Took my wife’s car in for a check engine light, they communicated well and fixed my issue in a timely matter. Also let me know about another problem that I had that they could’ve easily charged me for but informed me that it was something that was covered under my manufacture warranty. Good to know that good and honest mechanics still exist.

Once again, fabulous service at Eby's. I have taken my classic muscle car there, as well as my modern hybrid for service, and they have always done excellent work. They are warm, welcoming, and take the time to explain what they did/do to resolve any issue. This time, thankfully, I was there for new tires.

I was glad that EBY’s had someone available when I came in to replace my headlight. I wish, however, that someone would have let me know what the cost was going to be. I’m a senior on limited income, and a $300 bill for a headlight change really has put me on a much tighter limit with expenses this month.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the service I get at EBY’s, and trust them with my car.
