I have taken far too long to put up this review as I had the install done in July. I have to say that the quote installation and after service has been amazing.
Carl as very helpful with advice and suggestions and was able to beat a quote and provide superior products. The install process was professional, tidy and quick and I did not need the extra cost of scaffolding.
The system has worked great; I had one minor issue when a fuse tripped but David was able go fix remotely.
I have seen some negative reviews and I was a little concerned at first but Carl put my mind at rest and I am happy that I uses ECH and would recommend.

My first complaint was with the delay in Carl sending the quotes David said he would rather than a brochure of information available online. This was spring 2024.
Then after accepting their quote they said they couldn't install the large GivEnergy battery quoted for and that I'd need two smaller ones instead but it would cost me a further £200. I felt held to ransom and reluctantly agreed.
The midweek handover on installation was rushed as the installer had a long journey and he said he'd finish commissioning remotely the next day. It took until the end of the week to be running. I didn't get warranty certificates, just a link to the GivEnergy warranty website info.
I had a friend with me on installation day and the ECH Group Installer failed to communicate that he fitted a breaker in my loft out of sight from my loft hatch and that I'd need to use it if my power trips not just my usual mains circuit breakers. He said to leave the installation in the loft alone so I never saw or found it and didn't know it was necessary when the power tripped in August. As a result, the batteries depleted and went flat. This is their negligence.
GivEnergy asked for a photo of the breaker and have concerns with the ECH Group wiring. I advised ECH of this and they don't accept an issue checking their own homework without attending!!!
Carl Hughes a ECH Director, would only get my new batteries recharged from the DC current at a further cost to me knowing they're responsible and it's under warranty according to their contract.
I've been advised that I shouldn't have to pay and they've breached the RECC Code of Conduct by another MCS Accredited Installer Director. She advised that I contact MCS and RECC if they still refuse to rectify my newly installed system for free as good will aftercare. She said they should do this for anyone but especially as I'm classed as a vulnerable person due to multiple disabilities, they shouldn't have instructed me to get in my loft and resolve the flat batteries myself.
This morning another Installer phoned and said to warn other customers on the reviews. He said that if another company has to do the repair and check or correct wiring to GivEnergy's specifications because ECH Group Ltd refuse, that consumers are within their rights to send the invoice to ECH Group Ltd who GivEnergy should be leaning on as should MCS and RECC once notified.
Watch out for poor aftercare and failure to communicate from ECH GROUP LTD.

The initial dealing when quoting for an in roof solar system and battery was really positive, never pushy and competitively priced.
The first issue came on the day of installation, they couldn’t fit as many panels on the roof as they thought as all the surveys were done remotely. So I had to make a decision whilst at work with no roof on whether to proceed with 1/3 less panels. The price was reduced to reflect this of course but really this should have been calculated prior to the day of installation even if it means an onsite visit to double check.
Second issue is I had to specify where I wanted the battery, they never asked me so good job I checked, however the solar inverter was placed where my ev charger is planned to go. This was mentioned but not specifically by me as I didn’t know there was an extra unit to be installed, I should have been made aware of the entire installation requirements and asked exactly where I wanted each unit.
The actual installation I can’t fault the quality or timing of the installers but the planning side with the office staff needs some improvement. I did request the unit to be moved into the right position and have complained about my dissatisfaction however I was ignored twice and told it probably wouldn’t be done unless someone happened to be in the area to do it, so I will have to get an electrician to move a unit at cost to me.

Having recently placed an order with ECH after tendering with 5 companies I was impressed by the price, quality, speed and ease of dealing with Carl at ECH. The final installation was undertaken smoothly with minimal disruption and the data logger that was provided allows easy access to the power genaration from the system. The Bowling Club is very pleased with the installation and the potential revenue the panels will generate. I would recommend ECH to any others considering solar panels.

Had solar panels installed April 2023. At that point couldn’t fault the customer service and the installation.
However by November 2023 the system hardware had a fault on it preventing from reporting through the app. ECH initially tried to remotely fix but required us as customers to unwire and rewire components in the electricity box which we were not keen to do. The correspondence was incredibly slow eventually stopping in its entirety. No calls were returned, phones answered, emails replied to after February 2024.
Eventually I managed to resolve the issue by contacting the hardware manufacturer (MyEnergi) directly who informed me they could have resolved in the first place. I finally contacted ECH leaving feedback directly with their customer feedback contact stating my disappointment in their customer service. Again I’ve had no response to this.

I honestly have no words on how good this company is. I have just had a second system of 10 panels installed, the first time they were amazing and quick this time even faster and more efficient. The staff are absolutely lovely guys with one job in mind, so polite and a credit to this company, the electrician was very friendly and full of information on how it all works etc. I will definitely be recommended to everyone, just faultless from start to finish. Thank you
