I use eConsult as my main means of contacting my GP practice. It is easy to use and I always get a response quicker than the timescale quote. It enables the surgery to review my request and to put me in touch with the right person I need to see or speak to. It enables me to save time holding on the telephone, waiting to be connected.

North house surgery in Crook were excellent in every aspect of the econsult service. I sent my query in and received a detailed response via text later that day. They followed up with a telephone call with further advice from the excellent and attentive Dr. Young. First time I ever used the e consult service and I shall do so again. Sometimes obviously you need face to face meetings. But on this occasion it saved both me and the overworked practice time.

Great experience using this. Easy to complete the set questions then gives the advice or sets an appointment that's needed. Much quicker than calling surgery in mornings to wait in a queue and no appointments left.

Surprised with how easy it was to use and loved the time it saved me having to call to get an appointment with GP and then maybe wait days for a call back or appointment. Got a call back within 2 hours and has moved the resolution to my health query forward. Definitely would recommend

I find the e-consult method an effective way of communicating with my GP however I do recognise my surgery are very proactive and get back to you quickly unlike some other surgeries.
E-consult may not be as effective for those who aren’t confident using computers and apps, or those without access to to a smart phone. Alternative methods of contact need to be available.

Birtley Medical Practice has an excellent service. Always helpful, try resolve the problem/query. use consult and do their best to resolve the problem on-line or will make an appointment for you to see someone. They are ahead of other Practices that I hear have a bad recommendations. They use all resources to maintain their large patient capacity, to be looked after as-well as they can. They deal with all queries that come back by checking all results and contact you if any problems. If you are unable to receive a call they will make you an appointment and text the date and time to you. Excellent service... 10/10

I have used this service several times now and have found it much more convenient for prescriptions and booking non-urgent appointments than having to call at a specific time on the day. Staff are very quick to respond and as always, are kind and helpful.
