The funny thing about this company is that the guys on the road doing the spannering are actually very good at there job and pleasant to deal with. The problem is the owners are only interested is screwing every last penny out of you/us the customer. Example the £150.00 plus Vat call out charge (which starts when the member of staff gets in the van to go to the job) and then their exorbitant hourly rate thereafter. They had been at the property the day before doing a power flush of the system. The next day heating system not working and wanted to charge the above call out fee ! Surely there shouldn't be a fee at all ! On that basis and due to blatant greed I suggest this company are to be avoided at all costs.

If you are looking for a professional company definitely do not hire edwards bays , unprofessional and scammer company. Engineer came three times each time sayting something else was wrong , stating he had order a part that after 3 moths we are still waiting for . The call out charge is ridiculous and engineer had little to not knowlege , we had to hire another company that within minutes told us the boiler was not repable and that it defitenly shoulds not have pass the service done by edward bays.

Highly recommend. Professional company. Replaced Boiler as an emergency in very cold weather for vulnerable adults. The staff were so helpful, the engineers were kind, patient and left the areas worked in a very clean condition. Thank you so much

They came to our house for a site visit and discussed the work that needed to be done i.e. replacing our broken boiler, additional expansion tank for the underfloor heating & thermostat. I got the quote within 24 hrs of the site visit. They were not the cheapest or most expensive, but gave me confidence in that they knew what they were talking about without any sales patter. Booked them in and they arrived on time, it took 1.5 days for the install. They were clean & well presented and cleaned the work area as they went, they even washed the floor! After the install everything was commissioned and checked. They then spent time with to explain the system & controls to ensure that I was happy. I will now be using them for my annual check-up.

I have used Edward Bays for over 20 years but my recent experiences have been far from satisfactory or professional. I had a minor issue with my boiler, which they eventually came out to resolve, but then left me with no boiler, which meant no hot water or heating. They also provided no firm idea of when the issue could be resolved. It came to the point where I asked for a quotation for a new boiler. They gave me a quote that was £2,000 more expensive than a competitor quote and no firm date of when they could install. I went with an alternative supplier and had a new boiler up and running by 2pm the next day at £2,000 less than Edward Bays quoted.

Requested a full service on our LPG boiler. The engineer had little knowledge of what is known to be a common boiler. Spent time on their phone which doesn’t fulfil us with confidence considering this is their profession. A full service was not carried out and he stretched to two hours with nothing achieved. Our boiler continues to lock out, we are now having to source another company to do the job that was meant to be done. Customer service is extremely poor, rude and abrupt. Including receptionist staff. Safe to say we will not be using this company again let alone recommending them!

Our property manager uses this company. They have been out innumerable times to our property and still not sorted the problems (after 3 months!). We are now have to get an emergency plumber out to fix their work. Their availability and customer service is also poor.
