EEC Solar - where to begin.
The best decision we have made in a long time.
From consultation to installation (2 weeks), everything went smoothly.

Craig and Emily, in the office sorted everything from start to finish.
Callum did an excellent survey and design and the fitting team and electricians even installed when it was raining so that the job could be completed on time.

We had 10 panels and 2 batteries installed and even though the days are now short and darker we are still benefiting from the system. Our electric standing charge is 60p per day, we haven't paid more than £3 per day (including the standing charge) since the install. That includes all our cooking and hot water system, which is an air sourced heat pump (that EEC can also install) as we have no gas installed.

We would recommend EEC Solar, as indeed we did and our neighbour had the same system installed after seeing ours.

We had 3 quotes, 1 was 3k and 1 was 4k more than we eventually paid with EEC, the other companies also wanted much more upfront as a deposit than EEC did.

Had solar panels installed eight years ago - some snags but sorted fine. Fast forward, there's now a clear intermittent electrical fault.
Let them know eight weeks ago, and was first told there was not fault at all.
Highlighted there very definitely is and provided the generation reports to prove it. Two week wait whilst they spoke the panel manufacturers.
Then got told, okay - might be warranty covered or not - here's the initial charge. Fine with that, tell them to go ahead and sort out booking someone to come round.

Seven weeks and counting with no further movement, complete silence to emails and now the phone line doesn't work.
Fortunately, they're semi local - so next time I'm in Southport I'll go round and enquire in person - will update accordingly.

I some 13 years ago fitted Solar panels to our house, using EEC solar to install them. The work was completed to my satisfaction and within the last few months have had the now available Batteries retro fitted. Again EEC Solar provided endless unbiased information before I went ahead. The work was carried out by experienced tradesmen without any issues. I would recommend this company without doubt for such installations. The fact that this company is still running speaks for itself.

*UPDATE 02/07/24* All contact numbers now comeback as not reconized.

Recently contacted about a retro fit battery for my solar that they installed 10 years ago.
Transferred deposit and pre-installation survey booked foe two days later. Informed I could cancel upto the day before installation.
Contacted day before pre-installation survey to say they do not need to come as they have my installation information from 10 years ago and when do I want battery installing. Informed that combi boiler been installed since solar installed. Informed she would get back to me.
Pre-installation came and when, no show.
Emailed them informing I wished to cancel and request refund of my deposit, asked for confirmation. I did not receive anything.
I have been unable to speak to anyone as it always goes to answer machine and no one gets back to you.
Emailed to individuals and I have received notification they have read in but still no contact made and no refund made.
Now a week since I Informed them and I not received any communication from EEC.

Do not touch this company with a barge pole. If they are selling you something, maybe they're OK but if you need any after sales support done, forget it. They do not reply to emails and they do not answer the phone. When you do finally make contact, they simply sit on the matter for months and months. Gave it one star cos you can't give it fewer!

I had solar thermal installed with EEC on the green home grant scheme. Very impressed! Was treated with courtesy, care and they were very happy to explain everything to me patiently knowing it was all new to me as an OAP engaging with modern ways. Very competent and so lovely they were. I’ll be recommending them to all my friends for sure.

Highly recommend. This company delivered in entirity. The economic climate these days reflects how we look after the pennies much closer. My mother has embraced the solar thermal ( on the green grant ). We obviously looked at previous reviews and were impressed ( also local ). They were engaging, informative throughout on top of great service and we have the added bonus of aftercare from a very competent customer care team. It was a breath of fresh air to engage with an efficient company who delivered with no fuss.

It is now 2 years since we had are solar panels installed ( 7th April 2022 ) and we have not had any major issues with them they were well installed from the engineers and if they are well installed you don’t have any problems with them. I have had questions about the solar panels and the main controls and Craig who was the first person we spoke to about solar panels has answered are questions and even now we keep talking to each other and nothing is to much for him and this is 2 years on and this goes for the whole team EEC home improvements so we would definitely recommend them and if they is any problems just talk with them and they will get things sorted out for you.
