If I could give Electric City more than 5 stars, I would. Frank is the kindest and the most helpful person and he helped us rectify our very tricky magnetic track system, always ready to help out, even guiding the electrician on how things are to be done and just going over and beyond without expecting anything in return. I am honestly so pleased to have found a business that has such strong ethics and customer service. Highly recommend.

I have been using this electrical shop for all by electric needs from wires to chandeliers, Electric vehicle charged to Lutron system. Best customer service experience compared to other competitors from all the staff, service with a smile and ready to go beyond expectations to keep you happy. From advice, pricing and delivery it’s always on time. I feel not the cheapest (compared to online) but they have a very large selection of all electric goods always in stock for immediate collections, goods including fans, lamps, simple lights or classic chandeliers, wiring, testing appliance, switches, ladders, range of electric vehicle charges both in branded and non branded variants.
Simply an electricians paradise to complete a building project!
Parking can be restrictive but mostly available on side roads with one hour free parking by harrow council (must pay by phone app required), they have a small loading bay at the back of the unit which is very useful but will cater only for a small van

Bought a few things from here over the years but I must say in the last few years the quality of the items have vastly deteriorated in quality. Seem to be cheap chinese made stuff not long lasting. Bought a nice unique Pendant light (LED) type fittting and its stopped working after 3 years with a non replaceable bulb, meaning it now has to go in the bin and a replacement to be put in place. Wasnt cheap at over £100. Only reason for 2 stars is their customer service is good.

I have bought 13 spotlights, 18 sockets, and 7 switches. The switches are faulty and not working. Imagine a brand new switch that you turn on to light up a room, but you can’t turn it off again. These are very expensive switches, costing over £23 each, and they are also wobbly. I was asked to go back home to take videos and pictures to prove this, which I did. After several days, they said they would send the switches to the company for testing. Meanwhile, I have to stop my building work for an unknown number of days to return them. Why can’t they be tested in the shop? Additionally, they charge a 15% handling fee for unopened return items. Plus, I was told when buying these that they are with life guarantee. Is that the life guarantee? I regret buying from you and will never ever buy anything anymore from you. I will never use them again and will take them to Ombudsman. I have dealt with other electric shops and have never seen a return policy or treatment like this.
Replying to your recent comments from 19/07/2024: if the products are working, why can't I return them? Additionally, all of them are wobbly and not symmetric. You were rude; I've never experienced this with other electrical shops. I would recommend using @Arrow Electrical Lighting and Electrical Store. They are nice people, friendly, and do not charge handling fees. I have returned items many times with no issues.

I am writing to share my recent experience at your shop, which was unfortunately quite disappointing. I attempted to return an item within a week of purchase but faced significant difficulties due to not having the invoice on hand. Despite providing all necessary card payment details, the staff member I dealt with was unhelpful and unwilling to look up my transaction in the system. His rudeness and lack of assistance were unacceptable.

After eventually locating the invoice within 2-3 weeks, I was charged a 15% restocking fee, which I understand. However, the unnecessary hassle and poor customer service I encountered were troubling. I had originally planned to place a large order with your shop but was deterred by this experience and ultimately found better deals and service at other local electrical shops.

I hope the shop management will take this feedback seriously to improve customer service and maintain a good reputation. Losing customers over such trivial matters is regrettable.

Yes M&S refunds even if you dont have the reciept. And not just M&S, every store does as long as you able to provide the trasaction details, which I was providing you.
And even if they cant refund the money if they cant locate a transaction, they would at least give a voucher which can be used in any future purchase. Your staff was not willing to give that too

I was a big fan of supporting local businesses until you realise they are happy to charge what sort of premium. I am afraid I am done with Electri City having paid £2.25+VAT for a bulb which costs £0.40 online. Dupe me once.....you have lost a customer forever! Caveat Emptor
