Fantastic range of products including support for Raspberry Pi control of sockets. I now have heaters turning on/off in my home automatically depending on the power generated by solar panels. All measured and switched with Energenie products.

Clearly a company punching well above it's weight with it's products in a challenging industry with high customer expectations and perhaps this shows with the other comments about their customer support.

No technical support on the phone and the devices look like they came out of a cracker.

Nest doesn’t work with this product.

I installed £600 worth of kit in a customers house. I had a faulty product and instead of a quick phone call you have to email. I started the process on 11th January and I am still waiting for it to be resolved. Can’t invoice my customer and can’t get any help. Energenie are now ignoring me.

Cheap and cheerful but if you're a tinkerer this system is not for you. Although you have to buy a hub to get any kind of functionality this still requires an internet connection to work, there is no local control.

There is an API, but it's useless; even when I have the plug sockets on, the API says they're off. The plug sockets also fail to turn off far too often, even when you press the hardware button on the plug.

I also emailed them once to ask if they would list what was actually updated on the firmware updates, but they said no, why would I want that?

I've mostly switched over to IKEA now for my smart plugs. I will be glad to see the back of the products.

I was all set to buy new Smart Electric Heaters for a holiday cottage at huge expense, when I stumbled upon the MiHome range. For an outlay of a just over £150, I was able to remotely turn the heaters and hot water on/off, plus I added energy monitoring and some lighting automation. All controllable from Amazon Alexa. Superb!

Really poor service, I bought some switches from them and they never worked. Spoke to their customer services, and they told me new ones would be coming in the post as a replacement. They never arrived but was constantly told they were either on their way or lost in transit. Also refused to give me a refund since I waited so long for replacements, their refund period has ended.

Not reliable products . ex. light switch is extremely unreliable, brakes every couple of months, oh and nothing will work if suddenly for any reason you lose internet access ! Service...yeah they respond to emails, respond with preset standard messages. ! Just simply the overall quality is very low.

Great smart home devices, cheapest on the market once you have invested in Gateway, and work well with Amazon Echo / Alexa. I hear the company customer service is very good too but I haven't needed to contact them yet.

I bought the plugin adaptors and hub to see how well it worked. It worked well. But, in May, when I wanted to buy the sockets I was told they would not be available until July. July went, I was told they would be available in September. September came and went, I was told they would be available end of November. Well we are now at the end of November and still no sign of them.
I have given up. I will be going to buy a different make.
