Been a member since it opened. At first it was such a great Gym. It was only £20 and it wasn't just your average gym. Your fob logged you into the machines where you were automatically logged into your personal Spotify/Netflix/You Tube account. Your personal details such as height and weight were automatically stored (if you chose to) so the calories burned etc was accurate. It was such a great gym and way ahead of any other gym in a 15 mile radius. You had access to a state of the art Boditrax machine that gave you a very specific body reading with access to a very informative app . The Energie app was also great. I found it very helpful with the ranking of other Gym members for a bit of added motivation/competition. Could also log workouts and set yourself goals.

Fast forward to now.....

THE FOB NO LONGER LOGS YOU INTO THE MACHINES

MACHINES NO LONGER HAVE SPOTIFY/NETFLIX

MACHINES DONT HAVE PERSONAL INFO FOR ACCURATE CALORIE READING ETC

YOU'RE LUCKY IF THERES BATTERIES IN THE CHEAP BATHROOM SCALES

ALL THE LOCKERS ARE IN USE AS PEOPLE JUST KEEP THEM LOCKED

APP IS NOW NON EXISTANT!

It's a shame as it has so much potential. I used to love going to the gym with all my friends, now they've all quit and joined The Meadow Centre as their machines are far more advanced. Its nothing like it used to be, its like the management have just gave up.

Please please please reinstate pre covid Energie Gym...I miss it badly 😔 it was my favourite place to be

A particularly life changing experience in that my life was technically moving forward as I spend my time in this gym. I am a humble (and handsome) martial artist and I’m not a bad kicker might I say, so the punching bags there are the main reason I regularly enter this gym and those punching bags are so heavy as I kicked them it almost felt as though I was along for the ride as I kicked this oh so beautiful punching bag.

Woe be unto thee who underestimates just how much time you will spend in this gym.

Joined because it said it was an accessible gym. There’s a lift inside to get up to the weights in my wheelchair which is great. What’s not so good is that the entrance is too narrow for standard manual active wheelchair and so I couldn’t go by myself without someone to open the exit to let me in as the gate is too narrow for a small wheelchair.
Cancelled my membership and rejoined Puregym.
The gym itself is nice and everyone seems lovely - my annoyance is that they should NOT be allowed to say they are accessible when they can’t even fit a small wheelchair in!
NOT an accessible gym.
It’s a real shame to have to travel to another town just to be able to do my weight training

The ambiance here is very comfortable and inviting and their professionalism and customer service is nothing less of excellence, their prices for the gym are a bonus so reasonable

Great gym been a member since it opened. Great choice of equipment if you want to just come and do your own work out. Classes are superb plenty to choose from so something for everyone. Fitness instructors are top class they help push you but classes are fun. Special mention to Sarah, Nadia and Bob for their classes. And when you have finished grab a nice fresh juice at the juice bar.

Great gym, went twice while visiting the area. Nice staff and really clean, with everything you could need. They had a sauna and my favorite Nocco in the fridge to buy!

High quality gym with all necessary equipment for good training. I'm very pleased.
Gym team is helpful and kind.
Fantastic offer of fresh juices on reception and sport supplement.
No contact with reasonable price. 👍👍👍
