This company agreed a payment with me back in feb for £70 per month (single person living on my own, didnt have the gas heating on at all last winter) but i noticed in august they had been taking 450pm from my bank and had increased this without telling me so i canceled my dd. No apology. I've been calling since to get this sorted with promises to call me back. They haven't. I get told something different every time i call, and they have now messed up my account, 'amending' all my meter readings telling me I now owe them over 2k. It has taken 2 days of calling again to be told to make manual payments via the app with threats of being charged late fees and they're sending my account for review which will take 6 to 8 weeks. Absolutely disgusting, staff seem to be inputting whatever data they want to con folk out of huge sums of money.

Weeks ago, E.ON wrongfully charged me £610 instead of £63.10. They confirmed the error and promised it was resolved, yet they still took the full amount. Now, despite chasing them for my refund, I’ve had zero success. To make matters worse, their so-called "complaints handler," Maz, has been utterly useless and rude throughout the process. No help, no solution—just more frustration.

If you're considering E.ON, think again. Their billing is a disaster, and their customer service, especially Maz, is disgraceful. They’ll take your money, and then you're on your own. Stay far away!

Criminals. Repeatedly tried to take £1000 from my account and actually did once. Had to go through the bank to get it back.
I left them months ago, closed the account and they're still fabricating bills!
Scum.
And if you use Trustpilot without publishing your name they will remove your negative review.

Took at least 18 emails backwards and forwards before they finally, without any apology, admitted that they owed a friend and me £50 each for referring him to them. If I hadn't got the hard evidence they would have kept on denying it. I hope that my friend forgives me for ever suggesting that he do!

Just moved house & asked to take my fixed rate tariff with me -- I've since found out that they've put me on a variable rate tariff which would increase my payment by £50 pm when I complained about it they told me I could have a refund of my credit balance which would probably mean I would end up in debt--I've now switched suppliers--if you move home check your account & make sure they don't try to rip you off too.

I left E.ON Next after they continued to make attempts for me to increase my monthly payments. I am a low user and had been paying £100 a month and was continually in credit with them. E.ON contacted me a number of times in attempts to get me to increase this to almost £150 a month, despite me not using this amount. It appears to me that E.ON do not base your direct debit on your individual usage, instead basing it on the price cap. The final straw for me was when I received an email from they saying that they had reviewed my usage and that I was using over £50 more each month than I was using. This was most definitely untrue and in my opinion, just another attempt to get me to increase my payments, especially as my credit with E.ON was increasing each month. As a result of this, I decided to leave and go to another provider.
This review was originally going to be a one star review. To give E.ON some credit, they did process my credit with them back into my account swiftly and without issue, hence the 2 stars.

Meter went told 2 weeks to fit new but never said power will not go off so new tenant waited lost £275.
Meter fitted and same day I put cash on to finish jobs before we swapped details to new tenant mentioning already lost link 12 times approx. New tenant left then meter said needs emergency all credit taken. We both spent over 3 hours back n forth to sort it being told the other needs to. I paid before taken over,my money was wrongly removed but no 1 there can put there mess right. Imagine all the profit from resetting meters. 24hrs still not right. COWBOYS ! But that's Eonnext

This company couldn't care less about customers and the hardship felt by them. I moved house at the end of April and I still haven't had a statement for my electricity. They continue to take over a hundred pounds per month though i am over £1200 in credit. Absolutely useless!!! If you treat all your customers like this, then I'm surprised you are still in business. Rising cost in the supermarket and you think it's OK to drag your feet. Shamefull.
