Lewis took time to explain the various options to me, and presented a very competitive proposal. Lewis made the whole process extremely straightforward, and everything happened exactly as and when he said it would. I would also like to mention the team who installed the system, Adam, Jed and Sean were all extremely professional, knowledgeable and thoroughly nice chaps. Beware of Misleading Information and False Promises!

This has been a very disappointing experience with ESE Solar regarding the installation of my solar panels. The initial quote (July 24) from Darren in Exeter promised that after installation, I would receive a Flexi OrB certificate and be able to export my excess energy to the grid the highest rate available. However, after the installation, I discovered that the company is not even certified to provide the Flexi OrB certificate, as confirmed directly by Flexi OrB themselves! (Email received this morning). The final email with all the documents after installation stated the Flexi Orb Certification ended in May 24..... but my quote was in July 24!!!!

Instead, they provided a link to sell my electricity to Octopus Energy at a rate of 4p per kWh, when my current provider offers 15p per kWh. This is a huge difference, and I feel completely misled and deceived. There is of course no guarantee to be accepted by Octopus.

It’s clear that this company cannot deliver on their promises and provide the benefits they advertise. I strongly advise others to avoid dealing with this company, as they are not transparent and will leave you stuck with less-than-ideal options for selling your energy. Very disappointing!

Absolutely excellent service from ESE from first enquiry to final installation. ALL staff we have dealt with, have been professional, friendly, polite and not pushy at all. There was very good communication throughout the whole process and the product and results have exceeded our expectations. The scaffolders, installers and electrician were all lovely too, quiet, polite and quick workers. We would highly recommend this company for Solar installations.

Great, from start to finish.
I was visited by the surveyor (Clive), who explained everything really well. He was able to answer my questions. Everything was open and transparent from the off. No hidden agenda, no sales pressure. The process was explained well. After paying a deposit I received a call to arrange an installation date. The scaffolding arrived as arranged, the chaps were courteous, polite and respectful of my property. On the day of installation the solar panel fitters arrived (Adam and Jed), they got to work. They were very professional, friendly and polite. Also very neat and tidy. The electrician arrived about half an hour after the solar panel fitters. He (Shaun) explained everything and was able to answer my questions. Everything was very tidy. After installation everything was talked through and I was shown the app that allows you to watch whats going on with the system. It's pretty cool. I would have no hesitation recommending ESE to anyone wanting to invest in solar panels. They are competitively priced, what you are quoted is what you pay. Darren and Natasha have also been great. Darren even followed up with a courtesy call a few days after installation to check everything was ok and to advise of the aftercare package. Really impressed with these guys. A painless experience, thank you.

I had solar panels and a battery system installed. The installation process was straight forward and the system works.
The maintenance package and the carbon offsetting technology are a real plus.

Although at the moment, 1 month after installation, I still haven't received the documentation for SEG payments, and the electricity is just going to the grid with no payments for myself. I was told at the time of the quote that it was only going to be a matter of a couple of days after the final payment for the system, but it's been a month and still haven't had the certificate.

The other downside was that there were no interest-free loans available, unlike some of the competitors.

ESE South West did a great job of our solar panel instillation - Darren the regional manager has a very ‘can do’ attitude and the team are all very friendly and approachable. It was a very competitive quote too and in fact they beat a rival by 1000 pounds for a very similar setup. Good to be saving some pennies and doing our bit to reduce our carbon footprint.

Excellent service throughout. We appreciated the onsite visit and survey in which Sam answered all queries with patience and explained the process thoroughly. He gave us a level of confidence in the company that has proven well-founded. We have had very good communication with the office through Natasha and Darren and been kept up to date with all developments. The installation team; Adam, Jed and Sean who completed the work were all highly skilled, professional and efficient and a pleasure to have around our home as were the gentlemen who erected the scaffolding. We particularly appreciated that Adam identified and fixed a couple of cracks in the lead flashing. We would recommend ESE- Exeter without reservation.
