I had a system with battery storage installed just over two years ago. The team at Evergen were polite & professional, with good communication. Installation was carried out swiftly and to the letter per the agreed install date - thank you Evergen Solar!

Sean Weekes came out to give us a quote even though we were not in his area (also son not playing football, ha ha) on solar panels, he was extremely polite and not at all pushy like some salesmen can be. He took time to talk to us about things other than solar panels, we are both dog overs and talked about our dogs. He spent a lot of time explaining what we would get and how it would work. We were very happy with him. Highly recommended.

High-Pressure Sales Tactics and Misleading Pricing Revealed at the End

I recently had a disappointing experience with Evergen that raised serious concerns about their sales tactics. Throughout the entire presentation, I was given detailed information about their products and services, but the price was conspicuously absent until the very end.

After sitting through what was otherwise an informative session, the sales representative finally revealed the price—and it was shockingly high. This sudden introduction of a steep cost was jarring, especially after spending so much time being told about the supposed benefits without any mention of what it would actually cost. To make matters worse, just as I was digesting this inflated price, they conveniently offered a discount code that reduced the price slightly. It was clear that this "discount" was part of a strategy to make me feel like I was getting a deal, but it felt manipulative and insincere.

As if that weren’t enough, the sales manager then entered the conversation with yet another offer—an even bigger discount and a reduced deposit if I agreed to buy on the spot. This high-pressure tactic to push me into making an immediate decision felt underhanded. The sudden introduction of all these "deals" at the end of the presentation seemed designed to create a false sense of urgency and confuse customers into making a hasty purchase.

Rather than being upfront about pricing from the start, Evergen chose to withhold this critical information until the very end, only to then bombard me with discounts and pressure tactics. This lack of transparency and the uncomfortable push to close the deal left a bad impression. I ultimately decided not to proceed with them, as I prefer to work with companies that are straightforward and honest from the beginning. If you’re considering Evergen, be prepared for last-minute pricing revelations and high-pressure sales tactics that may leave you feeling more confused than confident.

I had solar panel installed on my roof. The work was not done up to standard. When I contacted the salesperson, I was told he had left the company. I am now being charged an extra £600 for the remedial work because according to Evergen Solar I had signed the paperwork after installation to say that I was happy with the work. They did all the wiring in my box which according to my electrical engineer said they were not supposed to touch the box at all. I cannot even use my electrical as if anyone else touch the work my warranty will be void. This a is a company not to be trusted or used. I paid a hell of a lot of money to have solar panels installed and for the last 3 years I have not received even a single penny for all the energy I exported to the grid.

We recently started looking into getting some solar panels due to the costs of energy rising and decided on calling a number of companies out to help us make a decision.

What can I say, evergen, were firstly very prompt in responding and extremely professional in the way they handled all my questions and made it very easy for us to make a decision. I would highly recommend speaking to the team there. Excellent customer service and communication.

Just had a call after expressing an interest in doing my bit for the environment. Wow, I questioned the reviews and was shouted at and talked over. I repeated 3 times I wanted to end the call and some more research, the chap said there may have been some posts with negative reviews but those are from those who are not customers but after being shouted at I cannot hear this as he was proving all the negative comments were true, the red flags of not listening on a sales call do nothing to alleviate any concern at the review of not responding when issues post installation! Sadly I will look elsewhere, I do not need to be shouted at and talked over when making a large and important decision!!

We have evergen solar system installed in our house after the sales rep Richard came to us and discussed the advantages of getting their solar system. He said that we will be able to switch all our electricals including emerssion heater and electric heaters to the solar system so we can save money on electric. He never mentioned that this only works on summer times where we wont need electric heaters and there are longer days than nights for the solar panel to charge the battery. Its absurd to think that we use more energy during winter times and we are only saving £30 a month and paying 5x more on the solar system. The reason why we took the product into our home despite the price is because how Richard the sales rep presented the benefits and advantages of having a solar system.

After a couple of weeks upon installation, we were reviewing our energy usage with the solar system and we found out that as early as 7pm, the solar battery is already drained and we are spending money on electric from the grid! We strongly believe that we were misold!!! We are not happy with the solar system. We contacted their customer service by phone a few times and it was so hard to get an answer. Emailed them about the issue and they kept saying that they will do an investigation. But they say after a few weeks of chasing that there is no recollection of such conversation by Richard the sales rep, so they are not able to resolve the issue but instead offered us another battery at a disciunted price, £3,000! Its either they did not want to deal with the issue and said there is no recollection from the sales rep (obviously there will be no admittance as he might lose his job) or they have not even spoken to their sales rep and just wants to get away with the trouble they caused and cost us! We were charged £13,900 on a solar system that we are not happy about and they still want to charge us another £3,000 for an extra battery?!

Another thing that is disappointing is that Richard did not tell us that we will need another battery to sustain the energy that we need to save money! Otherwise we could have thought about using their company, looked into other solar system provider or maybe got another battery! We have not switch our emerssion heater, washing machine and dryer to the solar system, not using electric heaters and no one home most of the day but now that it gets dark at 4pm the battery is too low to sustain our energy needs for when the family of 3 and 1 is a child comes home. The solar battery has only been sustaining the electric needs of an empty house!

We thought we’d be able to use evergen with all our businesses and recommend them to family and friends because their payment plan was supposed to be affordable and their solar system would help people save money. Even with the increase of electric rates, we will not be spending nearly £200 on electric as what we are to get on with having the solar system now. Paying 2 energy companies in one go is a bad decision.

Evergen was not able to sort our issues out and we would not use them with our businesses and will never recommend them. Richard said they have been awarded the installer of the year for years which may be true but everything he said about saving money and benefits of using their solar system was never proven correct. We are not very happy at all and we asked them to take back the solar system on the second week after it was installed but they said when we spoke them within the 30 day cooling off period that we have to pay most of the total amount (£13,900)! So we kept it but will never ever recommend them to anyone!

If you think of using them, make sure you record your conversation with the sales rep so you have proof when you are misold and they cant say that there is no recollection of the sales rep about the informatiin given, so they can just get away with the issue. Its their words againts your recording! Be safe and do your research before using them. Not very happy at all! I am not alone with the same issues.

Remarkably quick installation and overall process.

The time in between us deciding to have the panels installed and them being operational was only 11 days and completely stress free. Oliver the sales rep was approachable, knowledgeable, and not pushy - really easy to talk to and ask questions. Billy and Adam who came to install the panels were kind and courteous and talked us through everything they were going to do.

The app is really easy to use for tracking the energy production and usage.

The third party review of the plans prior to installation gives peace of mind that the energy production will be what is expected.
