UPDATE: It has now been four days and we have yet to receive a phone call from the owners to speak about possible compensation. Besides that, the owners have continuously prompted the foreman that we need to go through their insurance yet we have not received their insurance information to even place a claim.
Stay far away from this company as they are extremely unethical and their management is crooked. Back in April 2024 we took our GMC 2500 to have the def pump and harness replaced. This said fix should have only taken two days max to have fixed. Which, yes it did. Until we got the call to come “pick it up” but the call was that one of their employees took the truck for a test drive and wrecked our truck. The foreman, Stone, apologized for the mishap and said that all expenses would be paid for and that the truck would be fixed ASAP. but what ASAP turned into was 5 months, several excuses from not only Excel Diesel but also the autobody workshop they used. We were first told it would be in the shop the first week, then we were told they couldn’t get it in for a month due to “delay in parts.” After that, the auto body shop said they couldn’t “get our truck in the books” for another month after they received the parts to fix our truck. Once the truck was being worked on, we were given deadline after deadline, after deadline that they would have the truck finished. They NEVER had it finished. On April 30th we notified Excel Diesel we were moving to Texas and they had confirmed with us that they would have the truck back to us prior to our moving date. We had moved June 18th, and we did not receive the truck. By this point it was the end of August and we informed Excel that we felt we were entitled to some form of compensation. Not only for the truck payments and insurance payments we were consistently making while we did not have the truck, but the fact that we also had loss of wages during this time as my husband's company paid him each month for the use of his truck. The foreman, Stone, assured my husband that a check was being worked on and a check would be ready by the time the truck would be ready for pick up.Little did we know, that on the back end the owner of this company flat our told his employee that no compensation would be given to us as “we paid for the truck to be fixed and that’s it.” Yet, the foreman of Excel made it apparent that the owner of the shop would contact us and to this day we have yet to hear from him. The truck was not completed until September 12th, 2024 and we had to purchase flights last second to come back to Colorado to pick up the truck. In my professional opinion in working customer service myself, this is the most despicable way to handle a situation. As of now, we are the ones fighting for what is right. We are not asking for any form of handout but we simply lost out on financially due to their poor communication and lack thereof in customer service with the lies and deception. Not only that, but to this day we are still being told by the foreman that a check is being issued from the autobody workshop but when we contacted them and their upper management, they have no record of being contacted by them. Which again, goes to show that the continued lies persist from this company. After speaking to the regional manager of the autobody shop, the manager gathered enough information to show that Excel Diesel’s owner will point the finger and say “have them go after the bigger company since we are the smaller company,” even though they are the company who has been in the wrong since they wrecked the truck since day one. Stay far away from this company.

Excel Diesel did a great job fixing the 4wd on my truck. They made sure that the problem got resolved even when it wasn’t fixed the first time. Another reputable shop was unable to fix the issue with faulty electrical components and Excel Diesel got it taken care of in the end. Prices are hefty but if you know your vehicle, you are able to discern what’s needed. They deserve a great reputation because the work done was exceptional.

Excel was recommended by a local dealership. I was looking for a new place to care for my truck. My previous service center of 25 years was EOL. Excel has been able to maintain my vehicle of over 300k miles expertly, and it has never run better or smoother. I'm confident that I have found a long term partner in maintaining my vehicle.

Not coming back here, twice they have messed up. 1st time losing all of my customer information in their customer system. 2nd setting up an appointment for an emissions test and then saying that they never scheduled it. Yeah, I am good

The last time I got an oil change at Excel it was $125. Went there last week and they quoted me $450. The price of oil and filters have not gone up that much. When I asked the technician why the price went up so much he told me that they had a “premium” quality Rotela T6. After doing some research I discovered that the guy was blowing smoke. It’s greedflation.
