There seems to have been a change in staff a year or so ago and the new team are brilliant - helpful, constructive and polite. A big change from the previous team who were petty, unhelpful and just seemed to enjoy yielding the power that they had. The layout of the site is much better than some other sites I've been to - it helps maintain an efficient flow of cars through it and segregates people from the flow of cars in the best way. Yes, there are sometimes big queues, but this is probably unavoidable.

I have used this service twice now and each time has been absolutely excellent. The team are so helpful and friendly. They definitely went the extra mile for me both times. I would highly recommend Farnham Recycling Centre to anyone. 10/10 service. Thank you guys

Super helpful - arrived first thing on Tuesday morning with a completely full load and one of the team members immediately came up to me and offered to help with unloading. During past couple of years have noticed a significant improvement in courtesy and helpfulness, but really pleased with today’s experience. Thank you!

Hi all.
I have lived in Farnham for 15 years and having renovated my previous address , just feel the need to comment on the Recycling Centre at Bourne Mill.
Covid , made the place pretty unbearable to visit , as the staff there at the time , were obviously following instructions from SCC. But admittedly , they had no training in Customer Care and what , I would describe as Jobsworths!
Wow!!!! How times have changed in the last few months!!
3 guys always on site when I have been lately ( short chap , asian guy and I assume English foreman ) , have the council started Customer Care courses for their staff?..... These 3 chaps are absolutely top dollar , two of them , always ask if I would like some help , and after visiting the site 9 times , in the last week , they have been helping unload my car , on every occasion.
I am not incapable of doing it myself , (55 ) , but they realise , that the more active they are during the day , maybe passes the time quicker?
I totally would say , get to this site if you are a Farnham resident , and maybe keep a box of biscuits in your footwell , as you will hopefully have been treated as well as I have.

Guys working at the tip are obviously on a power trip, getting into scraps with folk completely unnecessarily, regularly as well. No manners and poor attitude to all. You could be criticised & shamed for walking at an incorrect rhythm from bin to bin, so beware!

They're super lovely and helpful- they do take a lunch break- just thought I'd mention it because they close around 12:30- 1 and it's not on the website so there is ques around this time

I recently visited and I was thoroughly impressed. I was a woman visiting on my own and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and polite. It's a nice change from the previous contract staff who used to work there, who were extremely unhelpful and unfriendly. One gentleman in particular, who was wearing ear tubes (though I didn't catch his name), was especially helpful, guiding me on where to go and even assisting with some of the heavier items I had. The whole process was efficient and well-organised, and I really appreciated their friendly, professional attitude. It's great to see such excellent service restored to our local tip in Farnham - thank you!

Easy access, the bins are laid out and labelled so you can sort your stuff out and the staff are very helpful if you’re not quite sure which bin things should go in. Will be making several trips as I de-clutter this spring!
