A fantastic spot for families, large groups, and even a romantic date night in Washington, D.C.! As a vibrant, farm-to-table restaurant, it emphasizes American comfort food with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. It’s part of the Founding Farmers family (which I also love), known for their commitment to high-quality, sustainable food.

The diverse menu features everything from hearty farm-style breakfasts and brunches to delicious dinners with options like seafood, steaks, and baked goods. I love everything on their menu. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with a rustic, homey vibe that perfectly complements its farm-to-table philosophy.

I particularly love that it’s located right next to the river, making it perfect for a stroll before or after your meal, even if you have to wait in line. The ice rink in front of the restaurant adds extra charm in the winter. It’s also an excellent choice for a date, thanks to its location by the river and the vibrant Georgetown area.

Just a heads-up—finding a parking spot can be quite a challenge, although there is paid street parking available. Good luck with that, haha!

Overall, it’s a wonderful place with delicious food and a great setting—highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

When you go to this place, it’s experiential, so don’t throw too much into the meal-which is good but pricey for the area and location. It overlooks a wharf fountain that needs TLC, but one gets to mingle with a festive vibe of good folks who are enjoying a special occasion, or in need of an outing and have the money to burn. This is the cross section of largely middle and upper class joy IMHO (anth major).

The appetizers were more exciting to me than the main courses, in short. The main courses were still aesthetic and delicious enough, but the appetizers seemed to have more of an artistic flare and I thought were more memorable upon reflection.

I’d go again, and again, but I might double up on the appetizers instead. We sat next to a quirky man who claimed to be celebrating his DOG’s birthday (patio seats) so expect the odd signature of the profusely wealthy as well ❤️

It was a nice experience after a long walk and site senary day, the ambianc was niace as well.

The waiters were friendly, and the service was fast.
The restaurant was tidy and clean, but unfortunatelyI had to ask to change 2 plates that were stained and not clean.

Talking about the food:
The appetizers:
• Thick cut onion rings (crunchy and delicious).
• Garlic black pepper wings (delicious and will go back for it if needed).
• Virginia cracker calamari (soggy, not seasoned, not good).
The main courses:
• Seared Ahi Tuna Salad sandwich (salad more than Tuna, should be called salad sandwich).
• All American double cheeseburger (underseasoned).
• Avocado poblano cheeseburger (underseasoned, if it was seasoned properly, that would be a different story)
The sides:
• Salad was disgusting. Look at the pictures.
• Frise was oily and soggy.

Would I come here again? No, but if I must, I will only order the garlic black pepper wings.

This place was a suggested dinner spot by my friend because I wanted shrimp scampi. I was so nervous about trying the shrimp scampi because I'm so picky when it comes to food, but I will say I was very pleased with the taste of the shrimp scampi. Most shrimp scampi is like a butter sauce, but this one is a creamy sauce and so yummy. I'm not a kettle corn person either and my friend ordered it as an appetizer and I tried it and I really like it! Oh I had the garlic black pepper wings for my appetizer and it was tasty, but definitely tasted a little burnt lol. Don't get the ginger drink because the ginger overtakes the flavor of the drink which is no good. But overall I would go back and tell others about this spot. Be sure to make reservation because it's super busy.

We went for the brunch buffet on the weekend and it was wonderful. There was only one thing I didn't like that I got from the bar, but they have a very good selection for everyone. Their bread is fantastic and they bring you cinnamon rolls to the table after you sit which are so yummy. Don't skip the crab dip

Joined friends for a Saturday lunch in Georgetown. We arrived at the end of their brunch so we ordered from the regular menu instead.

Our server was super helpful in answering all our questions and was very knowledgeable. We ordered a homemade mango soda which was refreshing on a very hot day.

We shared the Old Bay sushi roll as an appetizer and it was a tasty crab sushi with a hint of Old Bay. We got the Jambalaya with friend chicken - it felt more like a paella but very delicious and a very generous portion. I got the Tuna & Avocado Poke Ceviche. A well seasoned, and a bit spicy, with plenty of chips and bread to go with it. Everyone enjoyed their meal and ambience of the restaurant. We got a booth to ourselves which was like a mini-cave. Very private and gave us more than enough time to talk and catch up with old friends. We enjoyed the experience, food & service.

We had dinner last night and it’s was amazing! We sat outside which was right near the water. There was a beautiful water display in the middle of the area. 3 or 4 different restaurants were in a circle around the fountains. It was a whole vibe! The food- wow! It was beautiful and delicious! We had the crab and artichoke dip. It came with wonderful bread for dipping. It was a great dish! We also had the spicy crap pressed sushi and the mango coconut crevice and we had no complaints! Our server was great but he was definitely busy and things a bit slow but we weren’t in a big hurry so there were no issues. We will def be back to this gem!

Compliments to the chef. The food was amazing!

The portions were huge, everything fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and pretty fast. As for me, way better than Farmers and distilleries.

Highly recommend!
