I had 10 panels with a 6kWh battery and an iboost immersion water heating device installed. I initially requested several quotations from national and local installers before doing some due dilligence on the firms and their recommended systems and components.

GM Monk Renewables were instructed for several reasons:

- Local.
- Long-standing and reputable.
- Experience in electrical installations generally.
- They handle large contracts for local government (reassurance).
- The breadth of knowledge in the 'Team' - they employ staff with specialities in renewables management/ technicals, roofers, electricians and back office support staff.
- They don't sub-contract like some national firms.
- They were not the cheapest, but I would rather pay a little more for the extra reassurance provided by the above and the components were superior to most others.

The initial consultations and installation were handled professionally, also the after-sales service; so I have confidence that they would respond if I encountered any issues within the product and service guarantee period!

Solar Panels and Batteries Fitted.
I got a few quotes in and wanted a trusted well known local company. GM Monks responded well to my enquiries. I dealt with James who's background and knowledge of the industry was impressive. He answered all the queries raised and came up with a scheme that was best suited to our environment. The fitting was carried out effectively and the performance of the panels/batteries is following their projections. All in all a very very worthwhile project to safeguard our future energy costs going forward. Would recommend GM Monks for this type of development.
