I had a new boiler installed back in February, the engineer left us without hot water overnight as he cut the wrong wire and needed a new boiler to be delivered the next day.

The engineer also damaged the cladding on the exterior of my property and said nothing to me about damaging it. When I noticed and reported it to Glow Green, they agreed to repair it and asked for 2 quotes, I found it quite difficult to obtain quotes as repair was not worth their time. Glow green then recommended a magicman to repair it and provided me with the details. I got a quote from the magicman but they needed a cherry picker to repair it as it was too high. I informed Glow green and they said accept the quote and book a date and they will supply a cherry picker. Glow green then told me to cancel the booking as they did not want to pay for the cherry picker as too expensive. They said either accept the payment just for the magic man repair or allow the engineer to come back with a carpenter to repair as they would just use a ladder. I agreed for the engineer to make arrangements to repair it.

The engineer did not bring a carpenter and did the repair himself and made a bodge job of it. He did not fill the broken clad fully and then painted the area of repair blue when the clad is charcoal black.

Glow green will not rectify the bodge job and states they feel they have gone “above and beyond” as they will not accept the money back for the magic man repair. I said I would like to send the money back and just have the clad repaired professionally as the magicman payment will not cover it fully as the engineer had made it worse. They will not even offer me the opportunity to find someone professionally to repair it.

We had our boiler fitted by Glow Green a week ago now. The estimate and engineer quote was very professional, thorough and seamless. The finance was easy until it came to signing the agreement: as I already had a creation account for a laptop, it needed a separate link to be sent which was done straight away. Only problem was every day for the next 10 days, I had ‘reminders’ to fill in my account details and sign or I would be liable for the whole cost of installation. This was eventually resolved, despite many auto generated e mails. Logistics were VERY poor as I was promised delivery of the boiler the day before installation. I took the day off work and the boiler never turned up. I was promised delivery at 0800 next morning and it actually arrived at 1045. On the day the engineer Paul turned up at 0745 and was absolutely amazing. He worked until 1900 due to the late delivery and even came back the next day for 4 hours to finish off. Paul was A total legend and credit to the company. He even washed and brought back a towel which had a speck of brick dust. The boiler is excellent and apart from logistics, extremely happy with the process.

Glow Green provides an excellent service offering the latest state of the art boilers at very good prices.

Company / their subcontractors falsified documents, lied to the Gas Safe register, lied to ombudsman, stopped responding and have left boiler installed incorrectly and not working appropriately. Don't use this company unless you have a lawyer in mind and 6 months of your time to waste on rectifying their terrible work
