The young lady who telephoned me was very helpful. I was a client of the company who went into administration, this was the one they had initially switched me over to a year or so before that. I was transferred over to British Gas Evolve earlier this year but with the option of changing my supplier. The payment was the same until recently when they increased it. So this call from Golden Egg was received at a good time. She found the cheapest price for me and I was switched again.
She was very helpful and explained everything to me as they have to do and I left her to make arrangements for the switch.
She was a very pleasant young lady.

I am a new customer to Golden Egg and haven't been changed over yet. But, the lady on the phone was very helpful & knowlegable. She also helped me with boiler insurance as well as saving me £ 24 a month on fuel. Very satisfied so-far and would recommend.

This company is full of crooks….

Called my Grandmother up and told her tariff was going up in 10 days, even though she was on a fix till end of august.

Switched her over to a less competitive tariff saying she would save £10 to only be £100 worse off a year.

Called her back after the switch had gone through to switch her to an even worse tariff so they can get the double the commission. Scumbag move.

Be very careful if you get a call from anyone here as it full of advisers just looking to line their pockets taking advantage of vulnerability.

Absolutely terrible customer service.
Explain they can reduce your energy bill then tell you that they are switching you and sending the details as it had to be that very second or I would "loose the deal at the current rate". Requested the information and requested call back as the gentleman (if you could call him that) could clearly hear that I was attempting to put my son to bed and he hadn't even offered me the new Suppliers name or details just kept pushing that I could call back and cancel.
I really thought requesting more information before signing up to a years contract to some unknown Energy Company (Peoples Energy) and being informed they are the UKs number one supplier...urmm ok so why is this the first time I'm hearing of them?
Would not let me go without agreeing to immediate sign up so had to disconnect the call in the end. Will not be signing up now after the sheer diabolical lack of customer service.
Seem friendly at first but extremely pushy and can make you feel backed into a corner if not careful. Not even sure this code of conduct is legal?!

Had a cold call from them today. Clearly the sales person did not understand energy bills because she said that they had a cheaper quote without ever asking for my total usage per annum and when I asked what the prices were , both the standing charge and unit rates were higher than my current energy supplier but she seemed to keep insisting I could save money. When I pointed out her lack of maths skills she hung up! Charming! Terrible customer service!

Multiple sales calls, incredibly pushy sales tactics, saying that I’m in the wrong for not wanting to swap supplier, I will be paying to much, my bills will go up, our price are better, but then when asked what the per KWH would be, the salesman couldn’t give any information. Asked to be removed and now it seems it’s a daily call. Does this sort of thing actually work? Best bit is you can’t block the number as its randomly generated. Check who the company are and the website is a copy and paste affair. Do us all a favour and call people somewhere else.

Had a phone call from Greg last week and he explained the various options available to us since Green Energy stopped trading and EDF took over. They had put us on a variable tariff and Greg advised us of our options with other suppliers. We settled on a new supplier and on a tariff which will suit us very well. Calling me multiple times a day on different numbers, please stop calling me! When I politely asked to stop calling me, the operators give the standard response of "yes we will do that", a statement that is clearly a lie given I just get called again. I would strongly advise against using such a company that uses aggressive a cold calling strategy!
