Government Engineering College, Patan (GEC-Patan), provided a solid foundation for my career in computer science engineering. The faculty was not only knowledgeable but also genuinely supportive, creating an environment conducive to learning and growth.

Adesh Panchal sir and Harshad Chaudhary sir were particularly influential, always guiding and motivating me to strive for excellence. Their encouragement played a significant role in my academic and personal development.

On the other hand, Mitul sir, Sachin Makwana sir, and Bhavesh Patel sir, while seemingly strict, were incredibly supportive beneath their stern exteriors. They were always thinking about the students' best interests and worked tirelessly to ensure our success.

Additionally, I received immense support from other faculty members such as Haresh Chande sir, Mehul sir, Divyesh sir, Pinesh sir, and K.C. Suthar sir and Jay Patel sir. Their approachable nature and willingness to help made a significant difference in my educational journey.

The college's curriculum was comprehensive, blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills, which prepared me well for the industry. The campus boasted excellent facilities, including well-equipped labs that catered to all our academic needs. Extracurricular activities were also encouraged, helping us develop a well-rounded skill set.

Overall, my time at GEC-Patan was immensely rewarding and instrumental in shaping my professional path. I am grateful for the education and support I received during my studies.

The college is situated around one km away from the patan to chansma main road ,
But the surroundings here is very good,lots of trees and due to very far from the main city patan less pollution,less noice pollution, peaceful environment

So, I'll be just honest with you, for anyone who is seeing my review from future.. First of all I'll make it sure that you should know many of those reviews you have seen from collegedunia website are biased and false, once you get in there you will realise it on yourself... the faculty is kinda good in terms of teaching but again man it's GTU!! more theory no prarcial knowledge and the college is way far from the main patan city ( yep city :p) like other Engineerring Colleges... N I'm a second year student, An alumni is sorta boring and un-productive and many of them don't even know English. they just moving around and flexing their clothes and bikes (indeed you will see those guys too)like boys don't have other topics apart from talking about girls and movies(man srsly get life...) I would say the environment inside the clg is quite nice bcoz of the trees around here and infrastructure is well maintained (by students) and these things aside Well the opportunities after clg, it depends on you, the academics here isn't much good I would say it is moderate, and most of us are preparing for further exams like GATE, GRE, IELTS and various many more, placement here is mild, yet some intellectual seniors are trying to build some coding clubs and other things to make students aware with industrial and competitive programming knowledge (and I find it very nice initiative ), that's pretty good for stus.. yeah peeps from village here omg they scccckkkkk xD and the fees are quite low still if u live in pg it will cost u same like any other private institution cuz hostel is damn spooky and dirty, I would not recommend it for any one..
(ignore my grammatical mistakes and I'm just throwing my opinions not the facts)

Nice and absolutely fantastic college ? to study.
CAMPUS : If I talk about campus, so it is very big and surrounded by NEEM trees and purified air all over the campus.

FACULTIES : The good ? thing about this college ? is faculties, well qualified, very supportive to help the students in different activities like techfest, cultural activities and sports.
Conclusion : Have a Great Will Power and
calm Mind to pursue degree from college ?. You will understand the conclusion when you will studying in college ?.

GEC Patan also named as GEC Katpur. This is the Engineering College. This college provides all the basic facilities like hostel accommodation, library, sports, etc.. All the braches having good infrastructure as well as good environment for study. All the professors are very supportive and they treat us like their children.
This is the place of heaven for all kind all people's. If you want to study then you will get the best environment for study and also many faculty allow us to sit in their lab and allow us to use internet and resources available in the lab too.
Apart from studies there are many activities paralally organized by National service scheme i.e. NSS unit. All the skill development and contribution towards society like activities were organized by them.
GEC Patan is allrounder and you will get the benefits from that like personality development and all-round development.
Canteen facility is also good. Canteen having space for sitting more then 20 to 30 people's at a time and also it can accommodate more than that also. It has fast foods like Maggie, puff, samosa-kachori and Alu-paratha and also it's having tea, coffee and cold drink as well. So we can enjoy in canteen with our friends in free time period.
Student section is the section where we can but stationary like necessary things related to our subjects, sheets, ball pen, we can also able to print out, photo copy and binding and etc...
Over all GEC Patan it really very nice organization where we can explore our self and also learn more and more from supporting staff of GEC Patan.

Cafeteria is still closed but this college is in nice location.
It would be great if they renovate/repair the clg playground for vollyball and cricket.
