Get someone better, even if you pay a bit more!

A terrible job in the end for something that should have been done with utmost care given the danger and should have provided me with some peace of mind (but didn't even come close).

The job seemed to have been done very hastily. When I came to have a look after the work had finished apparently, I walked around and I noticed the team had missed a piece of tile on the floor near the chimney wall. They immediately removed it but I was already shocked at this level of incompetence.

There was also a lot of dust in the room, especially on my dado rails and skirting board. I couldn't tell if this was dangerous or not. I cleaned them with a wet tissue while wearing a COVID mask but I really hope it was not dangerous. I have no idea if your guys broke any tiles or if there was any release of fibres that ended up on the surface of the dado rails and the bay window platform.

Then later, I was told by my floor installer that crushed bits of the asbestos tiles were left behind and not removed. They were under a metal divider at the edge of one of the rooms. My floor installer vacuumed and removed them before setting self-levelling compound to prep the floor.

All of the above didn't inspire me with confidence that the rooms were completely safe even after they were done, especially as the main person who signed off on the safety only did it via some pictures (I'm guessing).
