I am so impressed with Terry.

I'm going to leave him 2 x reviews here, one from June 2024 and the most recent one in respect of December 2024. This is because Google does not allow me to post 2 x reviews.

December 2024:

As a gaming fanatic, I required a new gaming PC to be assembled in time for Christmas.

Before I acquired all the components, Terry kindly reviewed this for me to ensure everything was compatible and suitable for my gaming requirements. At short notice, he was able to complete the following with exceptional proficiency:

1. Test all my parts
2. Update the BIOS of my new ASUS AM5 motherboard to fit my AMD 9800x3d CPU (current gaming CPU king)
3. Assemble all the components inside my new NZXT
4. Cable management
5. RGB lighting
6. Windows installation
7. Windows and software settings
8. Set up a fan curve
9. Stress test CPU, RAM, graphics card and storage drives

It's pertinent to mention I did not instruct for any overclocking and undervolting to be carried out.

Terry kept me updated throughout the process and made every effort to make sure the build was configured and tailored to my preferences - for e.g. layout of RGB strips and cable management.

After installing windows, he spotted one of the RAM pieces was defective, so thanks to him I was able to get this issue resolved before the build was completed.

In terms of thermals: Non-gaming tasks: typically 30-40°C Gaming: I haven't seen it go above 60°C

I am getting 350+ frames per second (fps) in Black Ops 6 - 1440p medium settings. I was previously getting around 200 fps.

In Warzone, I'm getting 240-260 fps at 1440p, which is an increase of around 40-50% from my last system.

I'm also playing the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which is the most hardware intensive game in the current PC gaming market. At 1440p ultra settings (without the aid of upscaling and frame generation), I'm averaging at 120-130fps which is remarkable.

In terms of thermals:
- In non-gaming tasks, typically 30-40°C
Gaming: I haven't seen it go above 60°C

Acoustics: virtually silent when I'm not gaming. The Thermalright CPU Cooler and Noctua case fans move a lot of air whilst keeping the system cool.

The case is pleasing on the eye and I've never enjoyed gaming as much as I am now. I have my dream build which is bespoke to my requirements. Thank you so much Terry.

June 2024:

I had upgraded my graphics card and I needed this to be swapped over, along with a new power supply unit.

Due to my clumsiness, there was also a loose connection somewhere inside my rig which led to the machine not powering up. This had occurred after I had opened it up to see if my new card and PSU would fit inside the case.

But Terry came to the rescue. Not only was he able to detect the source of the problem immediately but he was somehow able to fit my lengthy and bulky graphics card on the same day, when I handed over my PC and the new parts.

As shown in the photo, the new card just about fits in my case. After this was fitted in, Terry was kind enough to call me and make me aware of the sagging risk. He advised me to find an anti-sagging unit to prevent the card from sagging and potentially damaging the motherboard.

The thermals and noise levels are exceptional. This is testament to Terry's proficient cable management and goes to show that he goes above and beyond for his customers.

Terry also kept me updated throughout the day on the progress and promptly responded to my emails.

At first, I was nervous about handing over my expensive gaming rig but I will definitely be using Greenacre Computer Services for my future upgrades.

Great service, and Terry has a warm and unhurried competence at delivering exactly what I require to be safe, up-to-date and fully functional in the online world.

Greenacre provide in-house computer builds to order and sell all kinds of quality peripherals. They can also work on your machine remotely, and they offer home visits for maintenance, upgrades, installations and repairs. Friendly, tidy work, and Terry took the rubbish away too.

This company is a great asset for Reading and the surrounding area.

Very helpful. I enquired about a case and got helpful advice/discussion and a look at it before buying, not the pushy upselling that's so often what you get these days. I also checked online and the price I got here was cheaper than any of the ~6 first google results, so that's nice.

When it turned out I'd totally messed up and that case wasn't that helpful to me as my motherboard was not what I'd assumed, it was happily taken back and refunded with a quick check-over to make sure I hadn't marked it or anything. Will be back if/when I work out what I actually need, as it's really good to have found a place where you can have an actual conversation about what you want rather than either extended upselling and meaningless sales patter or just being brushed off if you don't know exactly what you want!

Have been using Greenacre for numerous years and always had good service until now. Enquired about a new printer 2 weeks ago. Heard nothing so phoned this morning and was told to go to Argos!!!! Not good customer service.

You do indeed digress and how very sad you have made me in replying in such a manner. My review was honest based on my experience this week. Is that not what reviews are for. I am a 70 year old pensioner and openly admit not computer/printer savvy, that is why I have used your services for over 12 plus years and asked for help this time in replacing my printer. I came into your shop 2 weeks ago and was told it would take a couple of days to get a printer in. You are indeed correct when you say “you did not sell me anything, quote on anything” as I heard nothing from you in the two weeks that followed. When I followed this up on Monday I was told that you are an “HP partner” and could not supply anything other than an hp printer with a contract for the supply of cartridges. This information could have been given to me and discussed two weeks ago, hence the 1star. You talk about an Argos printer meeting my needs. The gentleman I spoke to was as he told me “ very busy as it was school holidays and he had customers in the shop who actually wanted to buy something” I do not think the rudeness was on my part. I did and do need a printer and as I have an hp account so do not understand why I need to go to Argos. Hence the 1 star.
I did not have a bad day and do not take kindly to be labelled in the way your response did. To everyone out there reading this, I wish you a good day and if you are computer savvy please be kind and offer help to the more senior members of society who are struggling with this fast moving world of computer technology. I only wanted a printer.
