Today I had a second GiveEnergy battery installed to a system previously performed by E. On, the installation was neat but there were issues with the manufacturer software that delayed completion of the commissioning process.

James and Kenzie remained on site liaising with the manufacturer until the software issues were remotely resolved and the calibration process was underway.

James and Kenzie were friendly and professional and kept me fully informed as to exactly what was going on.

My solar system was installed by halo renewables. My inverter for the batteries went 3 years into my contract. It was on a 5 year warranty but I did not get support from Halo to change that I had to involve another company Sunlite to test the system and claim the warranty and change the inverter and pay for a service contract. Now I find the solar system causing me power cuts. I find it difficult to get any competent help with my system. Is there anybody properly trained to troubleshooting solar systems?

Halo Renewables were the winning bid when it came to installing my solar system back in 2020. They were incredibly helpful during the process and happy to answer many of our questions and queries at every stage. They installed the system quickly and as agreed at the design stage and set the remote connectivity for us to remotely view the production in real-time. The system has been live for over two and half years now and I am happy to say that their promises about post sale service is top notch. They answer queries quickly and advise on future upgrades or deals.

I have been trying to arrange a SolarEdge optimiser replacement under warranty with Halo renewables ltd for nearly 6months now but so far only empty promises. It has gone to the point where SolarEdge is chasing me to try and get another installer and organise the part replacement. I will update this review if anything changes but for now, I would avoid if you care about after sale service.

Advised to contact Matt @ Halo to offer an alternative to a pushy sale quote from a large national. So glad I did! Matt is considerate to requests, very knowledgeable and offering options to my needs, now and future. When decided on options available, saved over £4k from "large national" supplier and received a vastly more capable system! Kit installed - Givenergy appears top notch. From initial request, through sales, survey and install Halo have been a pleasure to deal with. Installers were amicable, respectful to my property, even assisting with minor repairs whilst on the roof (replacing broken tiles, a job I loath!) Brad fully explained the system / app / guide post install, and on day 1, even in the rain system is working to save me money - must get tariff change for payback on export! HALO were a real pleasure to deal with, great service, good value, and above all, really helpful to a novice entering the solar arena!
