A warning to prospective sellers!

I am looking to acquire a Wealth Management practise.

I spoke with Alan Marks for around 5 minutes , most of which he lorded his sale of a recent business.

We did not speak in detail of my requirements as Alan had telephoned at an inopportune time. Alan stated he would send their terms thereafter we agreed to reconvene.

There was no contact so I left two messages with a HP receptionist for Alan to contact me and also messaged. On the third occasion, I was told that Alan was aware of the messages but told not to ring back.

I must confess I am somewhat confused, I do not believe anything was said to warrant such a response.

IMO this 'selective' screening of prospective buyers should be a consideration for prospective sellers.

When I get an email from a Company who write to saying "it was great to touch base with me" when I have never spoken to them and then they have the cheek to ask me to rate their service you can understand why they got the one star. I wish Companies like this would not do this sort of thing and the more people who respond like me rather than just delete the email may help them stop doing it again in the future.

I have had a couple of conversations with Brian over the past few years but as yet not needed his services - he was very pleasant however and is excellent at staying in touch plus gave some useful advice.

Disappointed by the deals that were put in front of us following a sign on fee but that may have simply been a lack of deal flow and the state of the market.
Generally an engaging bunch.
3-stars being around about what I expected. I only give 5 stars for out-performance!
