Harrow Online is now THE place to look for proper news about Harrow and the surrounding area. I speak as the last dedicated Editor of the sadly now defunct Harrow Observer newspaper, and I am pleased to say that Harrow Online is doing a fantastic job of keeping its readers up to date across a wide range of stories. It's been a sad couple of decades watching the local Newspapers wither away and, in some cases die. The last two hangers on were the Harrow Observer, which has now moved entirely online, and the Harrow Times.

I appreciate the Harrow Times is still printing but there have been weeks where there are only five news articles in the entire paper, and as they no longer deliver to your door they have become practically obsolete.

Having bemoaned all that I must cheer on Harrow Online.

I remember when it began - I was volunteering for Harrow Community Radio in Wealdstone.

The publication has since grown exponentially, and it has been able to do so with the buy-in of the local community.

Everyone I know, knows about Harrow Online. It operates across a number of social media platforms, making it super accessible, as well as having it's own dedicated webspace.

Their website is easy to navigate, find what you're looking for and even find what you weren't looking for but were very happy to come across it.

This is so important for me as I now volunteer as a producer at the local talking newspaper for the sight impaired.

On the evenings I put together the content to be read out to over a hundred Harrow residents, I gather articles from various reputable online news sources. Harrow Online makes it so easy to keep up to date with local news that it now features on every show I produce.

As it is a local business I trust it is upfront and honest, placing me and other Harrovians at it's centre of interest, and not some far away media outlet that doesn't know my home town.

I am happy to have them send me notifications and updates - the quality of their output is reliable and trustworthy.

Just to add, Harrow Online did not pay me to write this review - I just thought I'd give them the positive shout out they truly deserve.

Keep up the great work guys - You are fast becoming a treasure of Harrow and your output is much appreciated.
