We spent 2.5 hours on a most comprehensive tour with two very knowledgeable guides. It included a walk through the turbine hall - very impressive. Let's hope we invest on replacement infrastructure as this reactor comes towards end of life. Remember to have your passport with you or you don't get in!

My family visited the site in the early 1990s, there was a fascinating visitors centre, and we even got to tour the main building and control room. My dad was briefly involved with the initial construction of the station when he worked for Taylor Woodrow in the 1970s, so I have a certain affection for the place.

Over the 45 years since it started operating, pollution from one GAS power station alone is likely to have caused the premature deaths of more than 3,000 people in Wales, and 18,000 across a wider area.

And yet people are scared of nuclear..the best analogy I've seen is it's like comparing car travel to air, air is way safer but seen as more scary because they don't report on car accidents in the news.

France has been 80%+ nuclear (energy independent) since the 1970s don't hear them complaining while UK residents pay large portions of there salary to just heat there home.

Anyone abosing nuclear has been brainwashed by the oil and gas industry..that still doesn't acknowledge global warming is real.

Because why would you acknowledge something that will put you out of business 🤔

Went with my family, the information place was very nice.

Nuclear reactors are extremely safe as long as you don't have massive tsunamis or the threat of being labelled politically unreliable if you don't meet your quotas.

I think we should all support nuclear power. Our planet suffers if we don’t use eco friendly generating methods. Nuclear power is by far the cleanest form of power generation compared to ALL other options. All generation is without its risks and those risks need to be managed.
