A great micro bar in the heart of Helmsley. The micro brewery is inside and we had a chat to the brewer. Seating inside and out. Great real ale with other beer available along with wine, spirits and soft drinks.

It was a Friday when we were there and the Speak Easy Angel’s Share cocktail bar was open outside at the rear along with pizza. Check Facebook for opening times.

Parking is in the square just 2 minute walk to the bar.

Brilliant place, great beer, staff, and atmosphere. My boyfriend and I were staying near Helmsley, and heard about the quiz night that the Brewery were hosting, so we came along! They allow food from nearby eateries to be consumed on the premises which was really handy, and served great quality beer to go alongside! The quiz was fab, we had a great night! Thanks so much!

Interesting little brewery on the end of the main road in Helmsley. Cocktail bar upstairs, small bar with own beers downstairs. Small beer garden out the back just off road. Nice beers and good atmosphere, worth a visit.

Great spot for a drink! Friendly staff, great selection of drinks... Veltins for the lager drinkers... and pretty cheap too! Good music on the playlist and rather cool to see the vats in which the magic happens. Nice little home from home

Really quirky small micropub hiding within Helmsley.

Great range of beer/IPA/soft drinks depending on what you fancy and the staff are very accommodating to help with their knowledge of the products.

With the current situation of Covid we felt very safe and the server came over to our tables with a face mask.

This was just what we needed after a morning hike from Rievaulx Abbey (via a somewhat circuitous route…). Not only was their dark bitter absolutely gorgeous (please take note other microbreweries, we don’t all want to guzzle IPAs endlessly), not only did they make my Guide Dog welcome with an endless supply of water, not only were we able to eat our packed lunch inside, but it was all in a pleasant, friendly environment slap bang in the middle of Helmsley. What more could we ask for?

Nice quaint little brewery - we visited in December so it was cold and wet outside, but the welcome inside was cosy and warm especially with the fire in the corner. They had a selection of four beers brewed on site and a "guest" lager. All very reasonably priced (under £4 a pint). dog friendly too. Would visit again when we return to Helmsley next spring.
