After driving past the sign on the A303 countless times, I finally stopped in and was pleasantly surprised to find a lovely restaurant operating separately from the factory. Take note that the restaurant, 'The Brush & Broom', is a separate location here; otherwise, you might think that it's closed when in reality it's open. It's an ideal place for a tasty and well-presented breakfast. A quick heads-up for visitors: the kitchen takes a break from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
While the food prices are on the higher end of normal, especially for hot drinks, the quality is good. For EV drivers, the 22kW Type 2 chargers are a fantastic and convenient feature. The charming little brush museum is another unique bonus. Overall, this is a great stop for a bite to eat with some excellent added perks.

Our party of 6 were swept off our feet by the fantastic service, everyone in our party cleaned their plates empty. I had the full English and I enjoyed the little hog sausage. Coffee was excellent.

We also brushed up on our knowledge of the broom industry.

A quirky, informative and delightful experience.

Sounds odd but it’s a perfect stop on the way to the West Country - a lovely modern cafe with charge points set in a brush factory! Well worth a visit

I've driven past as it looked great bit wasn't dog friendly. All that has changed, it's now dog friendly! I had a lovely eggs benedict and latte for breakfast. Both were really good, the staff were lovely. Very welcoming to people and dogs, with water bowls. We'll definitely be back.

Great little museum on the history of brush making (including the origin of the 'tramp'). Great gift shop with a brush for everything. The star of the show was the breakfast - quality ingredients cooked to perfection. The softest sausage, the best egg yolk I have seen in a long time, lively sourdough and butter.

Stopped here for breakfast as stayed nearby in Zeal's for the weekend.
Great breakfast, very reasonably priced.
We were looked after by all the staff. And had a cute broom museum to entertain whilst waiting for food 😁
Would recommend to anyone driving past / staying local !

Lovely cafe with electric car charging points and a museum showing the history of the brushes that two brothers started making near here in 1922.

We chose Hillbrush as the mid point for a meet up with family. We chose it from The Extra Mile - a guide to interesting places to eat just off main routes. All four of us were very impressed - what a find just half a mile off the A303. All the food was excellent and we will certainly be back soon. The museum and shop are also good. Much more than just a brush factory.
