Beautiful stay in deluxe dens, The Burrow. Accommodation as described and perfect for what we needed. Large veranda with 6 chairs which got the afternoon sun, ample space for 2 cars to park, mezzanine beds and fold down bed in dining area particularly comfortable. Sofa bed fine for a night or 2. Plenty kitchenware.

1st and 2nd night there were 2 adults 2 kids, 3rd night 2 additional adults. I'd say it's ideal for 4 without everyone having to be up and super organised to still get on.

The park is beautiful and not crowded, the staff are friendly, beach is 5 minute walk and lots of other walks. Bowling was great, shop was stocked well, restaurant and bar were good with lots of choice, kids enjoyed the swimming and the parks.

A little warning on the mainly single track roads/road closures would be a great addition to communications.

Will definitely look to come back to Silverdale or one of the other Holgates parks. Highly recommend.

This Site has to be one of the best I've ever stayed on (had my van 5 yrs).|It is immaculately clean, especially the touring facilities, an so peaceful considering the size of the place. |We stayed in 3 of our own vans and managed to get 3 pitches next to each other no problem. The pitches are huge in size, plenty of room for a van, awning and a car. |The complex has 2 pools, the main one with Jacuzzi, steam room and Sauna plus a smaller one for swimming lessons and adults only hour. There's a gym, 2 bars, restaurant with ice cream parlour. Arcades, bowling, reception and a shop. All pretty reasonably priced for a holiday park. |You can go for walks to Arnside and Silverdale...these are actually highlighted on the map too. |There's also an indoor play area, several outdoor play areas or you could go down to the beach.

Booked a Motorhome pitch and stayed for 4 nights at Silverdale. The campsite was fabulous, spotlessly clean, well maintained and serviced.
No problem with any of the services.
Good food, great shop, beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff. Only one very minor observation, food in the restaurant is high price.
Everything else is excellent.

Fantastic camp site with mainly static caravans, and self owned caravans plots with electric hook ups. There a a few camping pods, that looked even nicer than in the photos and six camping spots with electric hook up if needed. My first time solo camping with my four year old, wasn’t sure if it would be stressful on my own but there site has a lovely swimming pool, mini bowling lanes and two parks. The restaurant is great for families and there’s an over 16s only bar area. Ice cream parlour and shop. The grounds are beautiful and kept well. Felt very safe. Will definitely be back. Thanks to the lovely staff who were very welcoming.

Wow what a place. We had 2 recommendations to visit|We chose a deluxe den cabin and wow no expense spared and a beautiful accommodation a little unique to a pod and caravan. |My boys loved the mezzanine bedroom|There was so much space inside and out and everything was well looked after and catered for. |The onsite services were exceptional the food was excellent, service was excellent and the services were well attended too and attention to detail |We went swimming, restaurant, ice cream parlour, soft play and shop and entertainment area were so useful for my young energetic boys|The local area and walks were lovely and having a gorgeous sunny weekend just helped all round. |The onsite play parks kept our two entertained and the site itself was well cared for.

Excellent campsite, extremely well maintained, very clean and the staff were happy to help and very polite, touring pitches are a very good size so you don't feel crammed in and the site isn't designed just for greed and maximising profits, will definitely be going again. Also makes a change to have a good shop that actually sells useful stuff like tent pegs, rubber mallets and even gas pipe, all things you might need while camping and not badly priced.

Just returned from our fifth stay at Pepperpot Cottage in Silverdale. We cannot fault anything. The cottage is always spotless and so well equipped with everything you need. The village shops are on the doorstep. We never tire of all the lovely walks around Silverdale. The use of the pool and sauna a short walk away across the orchid meadows is an added bonus. Again the entire site and facilities are immaculate, a credit to team Holgate! Re booked to return again next year, and hope for another heatwave!!

I really can't say enough positive things about our stay. We've been coming to Holgates for about 20 years. We've camped, stayed in various pods and caravans but this year we booked The Barn.
What a treat. The space was amazing, roomy but homely. The AGA in the kitchen kept us warm and cosy as well as cooking perfect pizzas. The cottage was immaculately clean, no mean feat with all those beautiful beams.
The staff were so friendly and helpful, advising us of new walks we hadn't tried before.
The Barn is only a short walk to the main site so getting to the pool and restaurant was easy. We had a few meals in the restaurant and every one was as good as we'd remembered and good value for money.
We will definitely be booking again.
