First visit for my Allett petrol lawnmower for a full service. It will certainly be going back again.
Picked it up after its service and when I got it home it kept cutting out or not starting. On discussions with them on the phone they asked for it to be returned. Rang this morning to tell me it was ready and told me the fault was the spark plug suppressor cap which they had replaced at no charge. This was no way involved in the service so a cracking job. I would just like to say thanks to both Jonathan and Paul over there for brilliant service beyond the call of duty. George Burton.

Took my lawnmower in for a service as I thought I was doing the right thing and it was 2 minutes from where I worked so it was convenient for me.

CHARGED ME £170 😯😯😯

And it's never been right since had to take to someone else to sort. Could have easily just bought a brand new lawnmower.
Be careful!!!
I think the miserable guy in the shop is Just charging what he wants .

Disappointed with Horbury lawnmowers considering we bought the petrol lawnmower from yourself your aftercare service is appalling. We asked for a full service which you charged us £160 for. I would guess this includes replacing the engine oil however after 2 cuts it’s as dry as bone which tells me you didn’t actually do this!!!
Overpriced, Overrated, & Miserable. Would not recommend using them at all!!!!

Unbiased, no nonsense advice from someone with many years experience of lawnmowers, all given with good humour (thanks Jonathan).
Excellent service facilities from a main Atco dealer, including pick up and return, can't fault the work that has been done on my mowers which came back with everything fixed, cleaned and in perfect working order.
Probably not the cheapest, but as with many other things, you usually get what you pay for and if you are worried about the cost, simply ask for an estimate before you agree to have any work done.
It's nice to be able to thoroughly recommend a local family run firm.

Avoid using these guys.

I took my mower in as I was having issues with the engine keeping the same RPM. I asked them to tell me what the issue was, which they never did.

They decided to complete over £250’s of work without my consent. When I complained they said “if you’re not happy, bring the grass collector in and I’ll keep it”.

I had no choice but to keep the mower. Which has just stopped working for the exact same reason. I have used it maybe five times since they “repaired” it.

Terrible service and best avoided.

Called in to look at hedge cutters and got really good advice. I purchased a quality long handle hedge cutter which was competitively priced. Delighted with purchase, will definitely call in again.

Phoned ahead and spoke to Trevor regarding spare parts for hedge trimmer handle. Agreed to call in with part needing replacing, diagram and part list numbers to ensure correct parts could be ordered. Arrived 20mins later greeted by Jonathan "Can't help you today, parts will 'probably' be closed". Can you call them to check.."No". Can you give me number so I can call them. "No". Can I speak with Trevor "No". Can you take part list numbers. "No, you will need to leave it here and come back Monday".

I decided to order parts elsewhere.
