First visit there last Friday, what a friendly helpful bunch of guys, well impressed, 2 lady friends took me there the other day and the chaps where super helpful, could see Im not in greatest of health and they were great, even carried my wood to my friends car for us. Ordered slate bricks and paid an extra £15 for delivery and specifically wrote “please leave in porch.” The reason I stipulated this is because I’m disabled and had arranged for my son to collect them when he finished work. A kind passerby knocked on to tell me a large amount of slate was piled up at the front of the path that anyone could help themselves to. I rang the number on the invoice to be told it was the local branch I needed to speak to. I duly did this and was promised a call back (last week) Still waiting for a call back. Terrible delivery and very poor customer service

Howarth timber is by far the best builders yard in the Northwest with great all round staff in both the yard and the main office. When in situations were I’ve required help at short notice, Zak has gone above a beyond for me to make it happen.
I would highly recommend a visit 👍

First time used Howarth excellent experience from start to finish - special thank you to Mick who delivered my order from Bury - was going to hand ball 2 tonne of stone off my drive to my back garden - Mick very kindly dropped around the back saving time and my back 5* service - thanks Mick - to the passenger in the White VW Golf take yourself from your very sad and selfish life and try and understand that this lad was trying to do his job so you having to move your car 20ft is not the end of the world - cheers guys from Bury great service!
